October 13, 200817 yr Kind of funny. I grew up on hip hop when I was a kid and when I would hang out w/ my cousin's and his mom and stuff they were like older black people and they'd always have the mature R&B. And today I was driving up towards NYC and I caught a station w/ that mature R&B. I had to let it ride for a minute and give it pause. Ever since I was 17-18 I've been heavier into rock and disregarded my roots. :( But yeah the slow jams are the truth man. :) It's funny b/c I've always liked commercial music and couldn't stand people who downplay it. But now I kind of see where they're coming from. With the likes of Chris Brown and such you can definately see the heart getting ripped out of it.
