Rune Defender v Obsidian Shield

I find an obby shield better when at dagannoths, the defence seems to help me alot more than the hitting power of the defender.

I use range at castlewars quite a bit also, and i have to say i prefer to go against defenders than obby shields when i do (but this might just be me :wall: )

Yeah, I was planning on getting a dfs.

Only 14m off of it. ;)

Awell. Guess ima sell my obby shield.

Btw bought a regen brace

That's only good for boss hunting; I wouldn't see why you would want a DFS. Rune defender is better for training.

A dfs has higher str bonus. THe only offensive bonus a defender has over a dfs is attack, and as i said, if your attack level is high enough a dfs will be sufficient.

And that isn't even counting the huge defence bonus. :)

Your attack level is never sufficient enough for 19 atk < 2 str.

Defense is, though.

The higher level defenders do give a strength bonus. Sure, it's not as high, but for how cheap it is to get your hands on a defender compared to DFS, the defender's good unless you're in the battle of your life.

I've noticed that the defender boosts my max hit by a couple, so I went and fought anything with health slightly less than my max hit. Nothing's more fun than seeing an enemy die in a one-hit KO

Well I was training with my rune defender,

AND IT OWNED. (dagganoths)

I honestly hit my max probably 30-40% more often. I was shocked at how great a rune defender is :D

I dont need a siggy no moar.

Accuracy doesn't determine how much times you hit your max hit. It just determines if you hit. Sorry for the nitpick, but it's always good to know these types of facts.

Sorry for the nitpick, but your english fails.

And I never said it made me max more. I said it just had the bonus, which made me hit a higher amount more often. It determines if you hit higher than a lower attack bonus.

Which is exactly my point - it doesn't. It only determines if you hit a 0 or not.

Dude, you're wrong. The higher your stab/slash/crush attack bonus, the more often you will hit a red damage splat, which means consequently that you will be hitting less zeros.

Always thought a higher attack bonus made you have a higher chance of hitting a higher number.
