Howlin1
You can get Scabarite notes from killing scabarites (or w/e there called) after the quest as well (theres to different types of Scabatie notes but there the same if you knoW what I mean) Scabaras Research can be gotten off Abgail(not sure if thats her right spelling) after the quest as well. you can get something after getting all the notes. I'm not sure what it is though. I have the pic of the book in my bank and I'll submit that when I get home ;) I can get the notes as well if needs be. Jesus Christ, can't you just admit that you're wrong? :rolleyes:Cause I'm not wrong.

Cowman_133
b.u.m.p. havent seen them on the site yet :ohnoes: I don't have any information on the items as I've never done the quest. I also am not able to match names with the last two pictures you gave me. No need to bump, we will get these up soon enough. Thanks.
pokemama
Crate entries have been filled out and released and you have been credited. The last two pictures may both be scabarite notes, or one may be the artefact receipt. No idea which is which. If you kept the items it would be great to get a pic with the name and examine showing (such as the one posted above by SportsGuy). Finally, we are still lacking the Scabarite key (given by Abigail and used to enter the dungeon). Thanks to all who have helped so far, it's appreciated! it's a lot easier to get over yourself when you look at intelligence the same way you look at beauty, or height, or eye color: being smart is easy, but being good is hard ... being smart is handed to you, being good is handed to *nobody*. ikkevincent
the last 2 picture's are booth scarabite notes. Ill try to regain the key. edit: tried to get more notes and the key, but i cant. However, the lead archologist says that i dont have all the data for the reward, so im wondering what i missed in the quest :o
pokemama
The final "reward" is for gathering all 20+ pages of notes that go into the research book. For that ... you get 10K gp. From what was experienced the first week it is not a common drop from the Mummies Skeletons and Zombies up there, and thus a gigantic pain to get them all, so most people decided not to bother. :) it's a lot easier to get over yourself when you look at intelligence the same way you look at beauty, or height, or eye color: being smart is easy, but being good is hard ... being smart is handed to you, being good is handed to *nobody*. SportsGuy
I think the text is exclusive to each examined type of papyrus because when you read the book after inserting the pages, new text can appear in between already "written" notes, because when I got a duplicate, the same text appeared. So, the text with it is the text that goes into the Scabaras research. A duplicate page will get you..."You already have this information in your logbook" while a new page copied gets you..."You copy the scrap of information into your logbook" I DO think that it must be easier to get notes from the scarabite lancers and rangers than from the dried zombies and skeletons. It's much more dangerous to run down to them, but it seems like they drop more and it costs less in food. This is the order that they get "copied" into the log. It does not matter which order you copy them in, but this is the order that the information copied from each appears in the Scabaras research book. I expect to finish this quest soon. If you can update the list of needed items (and clean up the posts that are no longer necessary and let me know when I can delete images from the hosting server I am using) I would appreciate the help helping Tip.It! SportsGuy
Okay, not only are you getting the image of the key which you can clean up, but you also get the story behind it's creation. pokemama
pokemama SportsGuy!! Awesome pics of the pages! It looks like there may only be 2 more to complete your book, not 100% sure. Please post them below if you get them. I have edited and posted the scabarite key and credited you. The pages are going to take a while longer. Hopefully imageshack won't mind. ;) Thanks SOOO much for getting all those pics, examines and the page texts, it's SUPER! it's a lot easier to get over yourself when you look at intelligence the same way you look at beauty, or height, or eye color: being smart is easy, but being good is hard ... being smart is handed to you, being good is handed to *nobody*. SportsGuy
These two pages are ONLY found inside the cave where you have the battle with the corrupt high priest (in the dungeon accessed from the plateau). They appear in the following order in your completed Scabaras Research book, though again, it is not necessary to place them in the book in any particular order. [hide=Tatty papyrus...][/hide] [hide=Creased papyrus...][/hide] The reason I usually ask for a signal of when I can delete the photos is because I am sharing a photo share (sharing a share?) account with a friend. I just don't want to clutter up his space, even though neither of us really minds how many photos are on there. I will edit all that out and just place the new pages here. I can't remember which ones I need. I think I'll figure it out. I will ALSO be placing all the pages IN ORDER of how the text appears in the scabaras research book after you copy it to the log. It shouldn't take too long to do that...all I have to do is figure out where each segment begins and ends. That's the kind of thing that isn't completely necessary, but the kind of thing I think some people would like to know. I'm also 99 percent sure that the log text is exclusive to each kind. pokemama
don't worry about the "in order" bit - that info is easily available on another fansite which has a Tome database. I checked my own book in game, and evidently they are not received/dropped in any sort of order, because mine has many gaps (I only have a few pages). Looking at the item images superficially, they seem the same two to me - you are convinced there are differences? it's a lot easier to get over yourself when you look at intelligence the same way you look at beauty, or height, or eye color: being smart is easy, but being good is hard ... being smart is handed to you, being good is handed to *nobody*. SportsGuy
Well, I used a transparent cut to compare and it looked different when I looked at it in the MS Paint editor. Now, I'm not so sure...it could have just been that the windows were slightly different sizes when I used "prt scr". I will continue to copy the images as I am doing, just in case. I should clarify...the pages themselves may not be dropped in any particular order. I was speaking of the text in each type (oily, exquisite, smelly, etc.). It is specific to each type of page. You can thus tell what kind of pages you need by what you already have in your book. Damp papyrus text starts - Although he did not and it ends with - isolation we crave? The log will not leave gaps for the missing text, but it will insert it wherever it needs to fit. That's all I meant. FYI: http://tip.it/runescape/index.php?rs2item_id=8100 and http://tip.it/runescape/index.php?rs2item_id=8370 state that to get the pages you kill monsters on the plateau, but MOST of mine came from killing scabarite monsters down in the swampy/desert area near the crocodiles southeast of the plateau. I believe you can also get pages from the ones inside the dungeon in sophanem...and later (though it wouldn't help to mention in the key's case, since to get there you have to have it) in the dungeon you enter with the key and past the four levers. SportsGuy
FYI, you DO NOT need to have finished the quest to cash in a full copy of your research notes.
