Yes, for my Birthday, I got a brand new PC, here are the specs of the machine;

Processor Intel® Core2 Quad CPU Q8200 @ 2.33GHz

Memory (RAM) 4.00 GB

Graphics ATI Radeon HD 4850 Series

Gaming graphics 2303 MB Total available graphics memory

Primary hard disk 407GB Free (450GB Total)

Windows Vista Home Premium 64 Bit.

And do not suggest any MMORPG's!

Thanks,

Already own it :)

FPS - Bioshock (although if you have orange box already, you may have enough FPS)

RTS - Supreme commander is always good fun and graphically awesome, maybe Rome/Medieval 2: Total War if thats your kind of thing

Those are my votes at least :)

Also, get yourself a steam account and have a browse, theres some real deals and gems on there (I picked up my childhood fav Abe's Exoddus and prequel for less than £8 recently)

I wish I have a comp like that to play Rome TW with. Huge batallions pretty much [bleep] up my laptop.

I have been interested in Bioshock, tried the Demo on the PS3, looks quite interesting.

Supreme Commander looks awesome :) I like a good RTS <3:

Keep those suggestions coming folks! :D

Fallout 3 when it's out.

Only 1 week left to wait!

There's some pretty good upcoming games, and a few that just recently came out. Stuff like:

L4D, Fallout 3, Dead Space, Far Cry 2, GTA IV, Spore, Witcher: EE, STALKER: Clear Sky, Red Alert 3, Warhammer, WoW: WotLK.

All of those are either already out, or will be within the next 2-3 weeks. Really, something for every taste, thought perhaps a little light on RTS if you're not into Red Alert. Unfortunately Mirror's Edge isn't hitting PC until early next year, but there's so much else, so who really cares?

Bioshocks a great game.

You should get Diablo III when it comes out.

supreme commander isn't a good rts, it has NO depth and all teams play the same.

and oh yeah, it takes a long while for a match to happen..

you should get company of heroes, it's the secondbest rts i've ever played (with the first being red alert 2)

You should be able to run Dwarf Fortress without any major performance issues.

I dunno if it could handle it.

Team Fortress 2 is absolutely fantastic, ive put over a hundred hours in it now and it still keeps on giving, its a shooter which reaffirms pc as king of shooters and i just love it.Very cheap on steam.

Far Cry 2 is pretty good

Battlefield 2142 is excellent

Crysis and Crysis Warhead, a fair bit of replay value and fairly decent. (But if your only going to get one, get Warhead. Its cheaper and comes with a better multiplayer.)

World in Conflict; probably the best PC RTS there is

CoD4, and the new CoD which comes out soon

Dead Space is a good 3rd Person Shooter

Bioshock of course

Hitman Blood Money if you wanna go back in time a bit :P

Counterstrike Source- always fun

GTA IV Comes out soon

And People seem to love Fallout 3

Mass Effect (Only if you like RPGs)

Spore is horribly overrated, but some people like it

Supreme Commander is good, but the maps are so big, you end up having Cold Wars. (Thats a slight exagguration though.)

But add all those together, and you're still nowhere near Psychonauts. Best game ever.

And anyway, you said you have The Orange Box, so just head over to ModDB and there are tons of mods for HL2 there, which are games in themselves.

Thats my whole PC Gaming arsenal, and it makes a nice pile next to my screen. (My friend has so many PC Games, he has two drawers under his desk  )
