Poisen Bug

I found this bug on a hellhound task today. I was unlucky enough to be poisened by a poisen spider in brimhaven dungeon. Obviously I didn't have an anti poisen, but I did'nt want to leave because I was on a task. So the poisen went slowly down to hitting me for 3 everytime, then a different spider attacked me. However, this spider didn't do any damage, but somehow my poisen was put back up to hitting me a 6 everytime. Surely this is a bug because, wouldn't the spider have to actually do damage for the poisen to go back up to a 6?

Well it should, as far as I'm aware for a player to poison another player or a monster, they must do damage to do so.

Actually, it is possible to poision without hitting damage. However, I was not sure of the 6 damage thing.

I'm pretty sure you can also be poisoned thru protect melee.

Not by monsters though.

Monsters have always been able to poison through armor and prayer, they never have to do damage. Its why the DDS is sooooooooo cool.
