October 25, 200817 yr I would take a guess the code is behind some kind of security seal, a tag or some kind of plastic. Look if its been tampered with before you buy. Want to be my friend? October 26, 200817 yr Maybe they keep the card's behind the counter, because in Australia Prepaid Mobile Phone cards are kept behind the counter to prevent stolen codes.
October 26, 200817 yr The codes aren't activated until the card is bought at the register. I don't know how this is accomplished... but it prevents guessing codes for free membership. That's how itunes cards work anyways, (it says so on the back in small print). But I wouldn't buy it if it was scratched off anyways (the code is hidden behind a scratch off section).

And i think the Pre-paid cards are like gift cards, where they have to swipe it to activate it at the register.
