Danno385
I remeber the good ol' days. The thing was that was new player high. I join new sites just for it... You can still do all the things in ther you mentioned (although it would look sort of silly since I would have to guess you went up a few combat levels since then). They are bringing in new content for higher levels because. Well just look at the lower levels. In cooking you get like 12 things at level one! From 75-99 you get about the same amount of things. So remember, you can have the good ol' days just look where you looked as a newb. In fact, I do have some pancake mix.
rehsa
It isn't RuneScape itself that has changed, it's the transition from Low Level to High Level. In any MMORPG there are distinctly different 'tiers' of how well developed your characters are, starting at low and ending at elite. When I was a low level I used to roleplay a lot or train skills a couple of levels then do a quest, now I level a skill to 99 before I stop it. This is not because Jagex have eliminated the way I used to play RuneScape, it's because I now have a much more well-developed character and I'm entering the high level 'tier' of the game rather than the low level 'tier'. It's still possible to roleplay, you still can just hang around with friends, in fact that's what RolePlay servers are for. It's just that because your account is now more developed it the old way of playing isn't as rewarding as it once was.
texasreload
but think about it for the greater good sacrifices MUST be made pvp was taken away for about a year but we won it back new and improved didn't we?? What exactly do you mean by "new and improved"? Because I KNOW you're not talking about pvp worlds.
Evil Pig20
Not forgetting "skills" require no skill. I mean, it's kinda bearable up until 70 but then everything becomes a grind, you think "50000 more willows til 99" or something along those lines. Edit: I knew RuneScape was going downhill the second everything chaned  I feel like an old man...
Evil Pig20
If you remember the last two years in RSC, the community consisted of: 1) Scammers 2) PK pures, who insulted everyone else on first opportunity It might had been different on members worlds only, but anyway it's not a good example of what the community should be like. If skillers want to waste their time on getting 200m xp on each skill, let them. Eventually (you will increase chances if you ignore the auto world picker) you will meet people with attitude similar to yours. If I remember the last two years in RSC, you had to be a [developmentally delayed] or a new player to get scammed. PK Pures barely existed. And they still insult everyone else on "first opportunity". When I got scammed (of 3.7m) I found it somewhat funny and congratulated the scammer. (Considering I had 20m I really didn't care)
IHasChicken
Is Runescape being ruined? In some peoples minds, yes, in some peoples minds, no. Sure, it is unfortunate that the old style wilderness pking has been lost, and that there is a trade limit - but people move on. I remember back in the day when the holiday items first become untradeable - sure there were less people there, but the market for rares was still a big problem in Jagex's eyes. These are just a few examples of when something has been ruined in some people's eyes, but improved in others. You will never please everyone. It is also foolish to say that Runescape is being ruined without us noticing - obviously there are enough people noticing, and moreover complaining. If everything else I say is completely foolish, at least take away the fact that everyone is noticing, and everyone is caring THERE WILL NEVER BE ANYTHING LIKE RUNESCAPE CLASSIC IN RUNESCAPE AGAIN. That is the meaning of the word classic, and even though people long for the closer community and for the simpler times, it ain't gonna happen while there are profits to be made. If this is 'ruining' the game in some people's eyes - fine, go right ahead and do what you want to do about it. People usually don't play games they don't enjoy. However, I personally believe that Runescape is not being ruined, it is merely expanding, and adapting to the new generation. Hindsight (and nostalgia,) is a wonderful, wonderful thing - but don't let it blind you and prevent you from doing what you like Phew..too much seriousness for me...better make a fart joke. Ummmm....ummmmm..........awwww, I can't think of one! I lost the game! :wall: :wall: :wall: :wall: :wall: :wall: :wall: :wall: :wall: :wall: :wall: :wall: :wall: JOIN CHICKENSWEEPERS TODAY! Lep
You want to know how bad the game has gotten? If I am bored and go to Varrock with a Dragon Spear to knock away pjers, the pjers call me a noob and doing that to them is more pathetic than pjing.
