PVP World Changes

After playing in the PVP worlds a decent amount of time since there release, I have found a few major issues and have came up with solutions to them

 

 

 

[hide='Safe' Worlds]The first one is that we have 'safe' PVP worlds. Players obtain no drops, and lose no items when they die.[/hide]

 

[hide=Teleporting]Next we have the issue of Teleporting. My solution to this is that you can not teleport until 10 seconds after combat has ended. Also some areas should be "no-teleporting areas, meaing you can't teleport from these areas at anytime.[/hide]

 

[hide=PJers, and drops.]Then there is PJers, AKA pile-jumpers or player-jumpers, someone who interupts a fight when someone stops combat for an extended period of time (eating alot, switching prayers, running to an emptier area). My solution to these annoying people is that you cannot attack someone that has recently been attacking someone or attacked someone, until 20 seconds has passed. There are also players who attack you as soon as you get a kill, hoping to finish you off. My solution to this is that when you get a kill, instead of all the items in a pile you get a single drop: a coffin. You can not be attacked until you pickup the coffin, or travel more than 20 spaces away from it. The coffin will fade away after 60 seconds. This way you will have time to restore you hp, and get ready for someone to attack you. Once you pick up the coffin you can choose to open, or drop. When you open the coffin your drop can either be sent directly to you bank, or placed in your inventory. If there is not enough room in your inventory, the highest value items stay, and the lower ones are dropped on the ground. This coffin allows you to pick up every single drop in one inventory space, so you don't waste food, and time picking up all those drops while someone is hitting you.[/hide]

 

[hide=1, 3, and 4 iteming]Last there is the issue of 1, 3, and 4 iteming. My solution to this is that you must be risking at least 25k (F2P) or 75k (P2P) in order to attack someone. You can still defend yourself if you are attacked. If you are skulled without 25 prayer all your items are counted in value. If you are skulled with 25 prayer or higher all your items except for your best one are counted, even if you don't have protect item turned on at that time. Not skulled with under 25 prayer, all your items except for your top 3 are counted towards your value. With over 25 prayer your top 4 items are counted. Now if you aren't risking over 25k (or 75k), when someone right-clicks on you (opens that little menu) your level (level-xxx+x) will be coloured purple to show you aren't risking much, and won't give very much of a reward.[/hide]

Pkers, and drops - Good idea but I think once you pick up the coffin and open it, all extra items are immediately sent to your bank. This is so people can't kill you afterwards to get your drop.

 

 

 

1, 3 and 4 Iteming - Good idea but I think you shouldn't be able to attack anyone if you aren't risking 25k/75k (F2P/P2P). You MUST be risking this to be able to attack someone.

 

 

 

Overall good ideas and hopefuly Jagex adds this to make PvP more fun.

PvP, isn't suppose to be dangerous all the time. Is Castle wars dangerous? Is FoG?

Teleporting-Maybe have some no-tele zones (like multi-combat zones), so people who want to use can still use

 

PJers, and drops-If you're in a pvp you always have the possiblity of being attacked. In the old wildy, there was no time to "regroup"

 

1, 3, and 4 iteming-again, in old wildy, you could do this. You can't expect everyperson to be pvping for profit.

I like the idea about a different color if you aren't risking much. But a pj'er can easily get past that first limit. Dds=30k, then just fill the rest of the inventory with food. In f2p, a full load of lobsters makes the cut. In p2p, sharks do it. So that isn't very effective. My advice is to add that first bit to show your opponent isn't risking much (like bh skulls), but don't try to solve pj'ing. It's been around for so long, I doubt anyone can effectively erase it.[/hide]

I'll support "Safe PvP" only. =;

 

 

 

The "Dangerous PvP" worlds are meant to be challenging, both to the player who is attacked, AND the attacker. If it isn't a challenge to find someone you can sink your teeth into and get a fight out of, then what fun is it? These changes you suggest to those elements would basically make it too hard for the attacked to get away from their attacker, thereby effectively giving free drops to anyone who attacks another person. There is seriously no way that the current PvP Worlds' Design should ever change in that manner. :ugeek:

I don't agree with the teleporting thing, might be strange to hear from a pker but really... I hate it when some higher level pure like level 80 attacks me and I run to a safe place, but still he can attack for 10 seconds. He makes me waste food or even kills me unfairly, I just want to get away so I teleport to my house. And if they don't want me to teleport well just get 85 magic and teleblock me...

 

 

 

And uhm the safe pvp, well you've clan wars, it'd be a better suggestion for clan wars to have some level system over there, well like the old wilderniss. I agree with the rest though.

Only thing i partyl agree with is the pjers..Often in a fight while i eat someone will randomly ags spec me

 

which is pretty annoying and not to mention hurts -.-

i like it all of them, but i found something funny about safe one... if it save then u don't lost any item once u die, no? well then i will go there to train, because a mob can kill me but i will lost nothing =) just a though... it must be if a mob kill u do lost things, if a person does u lost nothing
