Making PvP Worlds Suck Less

Featured Replies

What we REALLY need are worlds that allow a half old staking interface (where one can choose Items, skills, pieces of armour, etc. to be used in battle) and a half pking aspect. So, you go up to someone, right-click on them, and click "Challenge." Then, you get a pop-up box similar to the old staking thing. Then, you battle; afterwards, the loser is transported to Lumbridge, and the victor carries on with whatever spoils of war were agreed to before the battle. This eliminates all of the annoying "pkers" (pjers, (insert number here)-itemers, and general morons) from the pking world.

Sure, there are kinks and stuff, but it's much better than what we've got now. Any opinions/suggestions? Please post them below.

BE CONSTRUCTIVE. I will happily report "No, you're stupid" comments.

the only problem is even though we lose all the morons, we gain all the rwters. we got to live with one or the other.

This would pretty much be RWT.

People are choosing who they want to fight in secluded areas.

You can already half do it just by fighting a friend, but this idea would stop anyone from jumping in and interrupting it, which is the foundation of BH and PvP method like we have it.

Maybe there could be something like a deathmatch option, which could prevent players from running. Only available in single combat, the loser goes to spawn, winner is teleported back as if they just fought there.

How about not letting certain Items be wagered? For instance, one could only wager up to 500k per battle. This would stop (mass) RWTing, and still allow for some profit. Also, no Rares, or Items worth over 1M, and both sides would have to have equal wagers.

Then, you ask, "Well, if they both have equal offers, what prevents one fighter from losing on purpose?" Well, i haven't figured out how to combat this yet. Any ideas?

Look at it this way, we cannot even stake more than 10k (in f2p) at dual arena these days due to RWT potential threat. Given that prior knowledge you can see why this would not be introduced.
