is it going 2 have eyes ? on the whole looks v. nice, just dont get impatiant on it, and it should look very good at the end. :D

no eyes... the hair's covering them... more dramatic you know... :D

Very nice. Only complain I have is the choice of colours. The bright red and blue makes him look like a children's toy instead of some fierce warrior.

Can't wait to see the final product :) Great shading so far, nice pose, and great linework. Are you using a reference?

finish the character... moving onto the background now... Those two boxes on the side are shallow pools, i am going to try and do reflections of the buildings on them...

Looks great so far. The building on the left throws off the symmetry that was going on, but I guess it may have made it look fake. :)

Still think you should change the colours, but I guess I should wait for the final composition.

Ew! Gradient shading? Weak, my friend, quite weak. I suggest major recoloring.

  • Author

no, everything was did by hand... but if you mean i just went from the darker colours to lighter colours in a straight line... yes i did do that...

image1ne5.png

Why? It looks horrible. Don't be lazy, having a 2bit background is worse than having none.

Yeah the character looks great, but the bg really ruins it.

Looks good but I don't really like the gradient like shading in some areas.

Yea the character looked great, but the background just throws a "lazy/no effort" tag on the whole thing.

  • Author

yes... i think i'll recolour/redesign the background, no need to have spent all the efford on the character only to ruin it with a crappy background.

i've place temp colours on the more emptier areas, just so it's easier on the eyes.
