I asked around Draynor while I was wcing if my destroyed broomstick (from Halloween) would go to Diango, even though it says before you destroy it that Maggie will have it.

 

 

 

Well, Diango didn't have it and Maggie's only accessible by P2Pers.

 

 

 

I've sent in a bug report today and hopefully they'll fix this. I'm sure they can have Diango hold it as well as Maggie (Maggie for the P2Pers)...

 

 

 

It's not like I really need the broomstick (cuz we all need more bank space, right?), but the fact that I can use it next year as part of a costume is important.

I had a similar thread, and someone said its on RSOF that u can tele to Maggie to get another one. I tried it... didn't work... :(

You shouldn't have dropped/lost it knowing that the quest would be gone from F2P forever after Hallowe'en was over.

There have been several similar threads from other F2Pers who have said the same thing. Apparently it has not been made clear, but it would seem that you cannot retrieve your brooms :(

 

 

 

Also, the quote from Jagex; "Diango is not a purveyor in magical broomsticks I am afraid" would, to me, be further proof that it cannot be reclaimed - at least not from him.

If you've started the quest but have not finished it, you can be teleported to Maggie. So the questions stands, can you do this if you've FINISHED the quest?

Talked to her. All she'll ask of me (I'm F2P) is the purple unguent along with other chat options that have nothing to do with getting teleported to Maggie.

 

 

 

After following the 24 steps for the animals in the cages thing, I got the purple unguent (knowing it was for P2P stuff all along), took it and gave it to Maggie, and all she does is take it and asks if you want your cat to be purple, just bring it to her. Being F2P, of course, I don't have a cat to bring her.

 

 

 

So in conclusion, my broom is officially, LOST. EFFING JAGEX SHOULD'VE MADE THIS MORE CLEAR TO US F2PERS. Even though we should've figured that the broom was a 'quest item', Jagex should've specifically stated that 'if any F2Per destroys his/her broom, he/she will not be able to redeem it unless they become a member.'

I agree Pinkbullet, it should have been made clear from the start. I am fortunate enough to have not destroyed mine, but I think that one of the witches should be able to return it to you. Perhaps the witch in Draynor could return it? Oh well, we shall see... -.-

Hopefully they fix this. Lucky for me I don't have to worry about this, since I decided to give up on getting holiday items on other accounts. It's simply extra work to get a useless item on an account I'll probably forget about anyways :. Anyways, good luck getting it back. If you're really desperate to get it, become a member for a month, talk to Maggie, then go back to being an F2P'er. I agree that it's unfair that Jagex didn't notify people that this would happen...

We can now get our brooms back!

And I just tried it; it actually works! You don't get teleported next to the Legends Guild, but to a special place like the toothpick puzzle place during the event.
