Bronze Arrows VS Bronze Bolts VS Bone Bolts

Featured Replies

Bone > Arrows > Bolts.

Idk why but I think thats how it goes =P

I dont need a siggy no moar.

Best to train with? And whats the difference between any of them?

Thanks!

Well, the difference is little, they all suck. Out of them, use bone bolts...but seriously, buy some steel at least. Anywhere worth training will make back steel arrow costs.

In reality though, i'd reccomend mith+ bolts when you can retrieve, addy for stuff that makes the drops worth it, no arrow below steel ever, iron+ knives are game. All for regular training. If you're going PC with this stuff, bone bolts will do fine.

I prefer cheap range training where I dont pick the bolts back up, just easier that way. Do I need a special bow for the bone bolts?

Dorgeshuun cbow.

They did nerf it so im not sure if its strong as it was.

I dont need a siggy no moar.

What can we inform you with? :?

Although they're slow, bone bolts are the best from the set.Try bronze knives while you're still at bronze? ::'

Hmm, thank you!

I am pretty sure broad bolts are better than all of those... combined :P . But seriously though broad ones are better, a bit more expensive but worth the cost even if power-ranging. Out of the 3 bone bolts are your item of choice. Also, another alternative are iron knives, as someone has already said, they are pretty good as far as general training goes.

Apparently, my signature was to big.

Forget all of those use Broad Bolts, they hit just as good as addy bolts. I wish I had those to train with when I got 99 Ranged...

Bone bolts: 4-5 gp loss.

Broad Bolts: 67-69 gp loss? (haven't checked the prices since last week)

Alright, sorry, I'm not sure if he's rich or not. But just to use an example, let's say you had a character with 10,000 geepees (and full range gear). 2,000 Bone bolts or 150 Broad Bolts? Depends on how much money you have.

Broad bolts and bronze knives are the most cost efficient ways to train range. I wouldnt use anything else personally. (I do use black knives sometimes but its not nearly as cost efficient)

Anyone can make 10k in a matter of minutes.. fresh off tutorial island you can. So to say that the amount of money he has is that minuscule is pretty much a ridiculous exaggeration on your part. Since he is ranging he obviously has knowledge of the game and a will to play. (Yes ranging usually isn't someones skill of choice at first it takes time for it to grow on you)

With that said I would say its safe to say that he has at LEAST 100k (I think we can all agree that everyone has owned 100k cash at one time, no one sees a 100k in a bank pic and goes "WOW 100k AWESOME, HOW DID YOU GET THAT!!!!)

Therefore with 100k and a knowledge of the game he should be ranging things that provide a monetary return suitable for using broad bolts since the are ONLY 65 or so gp each. Unless he is power-ranging in which case bronze/iron knives would be the best choice anyway.

See where we are getting at when we say use broad bolts? Don't get me wrong bone bolts are good (I still got 43k of them bad boys) but I have since jumped on the broad bolt bandwagon and haven't looked back, nor regretted it for that matter.

Apparently, my signature was to big.

Get Ava's Accumulator from the Animal Magnetism quest. Seriously, it will pick up about 90% of your ammunition for you. The quest takes an hour or so, and in exchange those 150 broad bolts will actually last the same time as about 5,000 if you didn't pick them up.

BTW, advantage of c'bow is that it can be used with a shield if you're fighting higher-damage monsters and not safespotting.

Arrows > Bone just for the speed :P Bronze Bolts are a complete WASTE, don't even try using bolts until you can wield rune cbow and broad bolts. The dorgeshuun is stronger than a bow, however, it's much slower. Of course, the ammo is cheaper.
