pulli23
Well this is a small question: I'm planning to do a bit of farming (to 71 I guess) and I'm wondering: how can I get everywhere? The problem is, I'm on lunars (doing ZMI while farming), and only 79 magic! (so the only 2 remotely usefull teleports, fishing guild and catherby, aren't accessible yet). Mostly tablets will help me out enough, however there are a few cases: -tree north of gnome village, is it shorter with ourania, or with gnome trees/elkoy? -lumbridge: well got no idea how to get there effectively (tele tab to lumby, or glory to draynor, or..?) -trollheim herb patch - Guess that 1 is impossible/too much trouble to get to? My run looks like this now: (*) bank =) skill necklace to fishing guild (-) PATCH =) tele tablet to varock (-) normal tree in caxtle =) tele with tree to gnome village (-) fruit tree north (-) normal tree south (*) bank =) tele with tree to tree gnome vilage, elkoy tele to north of vilage (-) fruit tree =) tele to lletya (crystal) (-) fruit tree =) tele to falador (TELETABLET?) (-) Normal tree =) CW teleport (ring) (*) Bank =) log to taverly (-) normal tree =) tele to lumbridge (TELETABLET?) (-) normal tree =) explorer ring (-) PATCH =) gloves to karamja (*) bank =) cart to brimhaven (-) fruit tree =) boat to catherby (-) PATCH (*) bank (-) Fruit tree =) ecto teleport (-) PATCH =) trollheim???? First they came to fishingand I didn't speak out because I wasn't fishing Then they came to the yewsand I didn't speak out because I didn't cut yews Then they came for the oresand I didn't speak out because I didn't collect ores Then they came for meand there was no one left to speak out for me. D Jay99
I personally think normal magic is better. Normal city tele's, duelling ring -> gnome glider or duelling ring -> balloon to gnome stronghold, tree+elkoy to fruit patch, elf tele thing to fruit patch, brimhaven house or boat to brimhaven fruit patch. Home tele or just lumbridge tele to tree patch, falador tele for falador+taverly tree patch, varrock tele for varrock patch, run to spirit tree for gnome tree patch if you haven't done that during your fruit tree run or want to do it again. Trollheim tele, camelot tele, fishing guild tele with skills necklace, ecto and lumbridge ring 3 for herb patches. Sorry for not typing it out properly but didn't feel like it, I've used this to get 97 and I've never felt it was too slow or something.

Welll it's not so much as what is better: it's what I'm limited to! - I'm doing runecrafting in the "wait time", and it's lunar magic is needed there! On another note: what kind of paying should I do? I know paying for fruit trees is pretty much "needed" - and for yew trees it's a waste of money: but what about maples, should I pay for those? First they came to fishingand I didn't speak out because I wasn't fishing Then they came to the yewsand I didn't speak out because I didn't cut yews Then they came for the oresand I didn't speak out because I didn't collect ores Then they came for meand there was no one left to speak out for me. kate_stille
one option if you are 50 runecrafting could possibly be lunar altar teleport tabs.... get like 100 of them from the minigame. and you can make a run to ZMI. bank. get out your tab.. go to altar and switch to regular magic. then teleport and do all your farming stuff. use tab back to altar. switch to lunar. then use moonclan teleport back to bank and continue runecrafting. idk if this is epic fail or what but i thought of it and maybe it will work for you. toast647
Yeah...just use normal magics. My route: Lumby - Magic tree Fally - Magic tree Run to taverly - another magic tree Varrock - Magic tree Run to GE, use spirit tree to gnome tree thing - magic tree west, palm tree east Teleport to Camelot, run to catherby and plant a palm tree Castle wars - run over by the gnome maze, plant a palm Ardy - Palm tree, then run south and plant a calquat tree Come to #tip-it on Swift IRC, if you're cool

But what about my second question (about farmer payments) First they came to fishingand I didn't speak out because I wasn't fishing Then they came to the yewsand I didn't speak out because I didn't cut yews Then they came for the oresand I didn't speak out because I didn't collect ores Then they came for meand there was no one left to speak out for me. sir_bubbabob
I'm at 87 farming. I always pay for my fruit, spirit and calquat. But I never pay for the regular trees. The fruit trees can be payed easily with crops you have already grown.
cat666
Firstly your run is bad. Split your trees/allotments up and do the bushes/hops/specials with those but don't go out of your way for those (except Calquat/Spirit). Trees are approx once a day jobs unless you can get on whenever you like. Most of us have school/work so can't. Allotments you can do every 1.5 hours and if you are serious about farming then you should be doign these when on. Even if you dont do allotments, do the marigolds/herbs for cash. Sjakie_1_1_3
I do suggest splitting your run up in a tree part and a herb/allotment/etc. part (except for the catherby one, cause you literally run past it on the way to the fruit tree patch (and cause there is a bank close enough)). The run I used on my way to 99 farming: Start in lumbridge - Lumbridge tree patch Tele varrock - Tree patch Run to GE spirit tree, tele to gnome maze - Fruit tree patch outside the maze Get back in the maze, spirit tree tele to gnome fortress - Fruit tree - Tree patch House tele (when I did farming I had my house at Birmhaven) or Adrougne tele - Calquat patch + Birmhaven fruit tree Lleyta tele crystal - Fruit tree Camelot tele - Allotments/herbs + fruit tree Falador tele - Run to taverly, tree patch Falador tele - Tree patch Now bank at falador to get ready for herb/allotments Falador/draynor herb patch Ecto tele - Herb patch Adrougne tele - Herb patch Trollheim tele - Herb patch Duel arena tele - Pick spines from cactus (use them to pay for Yews or sell them). I always had a duel ring with me, used many of them to bank stuff during runs, almost always used the duel arena bank to bank stuff. I always payed for all my trees, including Yews (but I used my own grown spines). I always payed for all my trees, including Yews (but I used my own grown spines). Im not 99 but rack up XP when I do farm. I only connect evenings and weekends so my standard method is this: Start Catherby (Fruit) BANK (Makes sense to start here especially if you are on Lunars) Teleport to Lumbridge (Tree) Teleport to Falador (Tree) BANK if needed. Run to Taverley (Tree) Crystal Seed to LLeyta (Fruit)(BANK) (I have this here cos I use a familiar making banking at GE impossible) Teleport to Varrock (Tree) Spirit Tree to Gnome Stronghold (Fruit/Tree)BANK Spirit Tree to Maze (Fruit) (This way as it's less walking/clicking than using the other way) Teleport to Ardy/Boat to Brimhaven (Fruit/Spirit Tree) Run to Calquat. Teleport to Catherby BANK (Time to start allotments)(Allotment)BANK Run to Ardy (Allotment) Teleport to Trollheim (Herb) Duel to Al Kharid (Cactus) BANK (Cactus won't be ready every run, skip to Draynor and BANK there) Glory to Draynor BANK (Nightshade/Allotment) Ecto to Canifis (Allotment) Run to mushrooms (BANK beforehand). A spirit terrorbird helps no end in saving space as does the lunar spell fertile soil. You can do trees once a day and allotments every 1.5 hours. At allotments I use strawberries (pay to keep them safe), marigolds, and herbs. Trollheim will never get diseased so ranarr/snapdragon there. If you are connecting for a while use an amulet of nature to do another profitable patch with no risk. Fill the rest with whatever you like. Pay for fruit trees not regular trees. The amount you lose in dead seeds is less than payments. Trust the Gene Genie!
