Laura
I never found it as an insult. If anything, I always chuckle when someone calls me it. Because, ironically they are doing something in a less efficient manner, and tell me my way is inefficient.
legilgalad2
Tbh I never cared about the word Noob, it's just another word used to insult people much like 'gay' 'spaz' or '[developmentally delayed]'. As a famous (and rather fictitious) pirate once said 'sticks and stones love.' Woodcutting does not raise your combat level because most people do not play as yew trees. Racheya
I hate the term n00b with a passion. I'm called a n00b (and it's wonderful varieties) by people on the game (P2P obviously -.-) because I don't have high levels. But I agree with the idea that a n00bness is not defined by levels and I hate people who use the term n00b with any of its prefixes. I really do, it's [developmentally delayed]ed. :wall: :wall: :wall: I edit for the [Tip.It Times]. I rarely write in [My Blog]. I am an [Ex-Moderator]. Creator288
There is a differance between "noob" and "newb" A "newb" is just a new player, and I can't stand it when people act like jerks because someone is new to a game. A "noob" is that 12-year old kid acting like a jackass to the "newb. calling someone a "noob" just because they did something you didn't like, or because they are better than you at something, just shows that you can't get what you want so you revert to being that 12-year old kid. Fairness
Jagex defines noob as a new person to the game. lets use that And Jagex is always right, I suppose...? A "noob" is that 12-year old kid acting like a jackass to the "newb. Stereotypes: I'd use "noob" to insult people but then again - while saying "noob" is common along idiots, along intelligent people it actually does make you look like an idiot. You're being watched.
