  1. So I was runecrafting at the body alter once upon a time, minding my own business, and trying to get level 50 as to access the runecrafting guild for faster runecrafting experience. All of a sudden, this level 91 person in zamorak armour who is also runecrafting comes up to me, and says "noob". I ignore him, thinking he may have mistelled in the wrong chat interface. So we pass eachother again, and that same person comes up to me and says "noob I have lvl 46 rc" What? OK!. So now I know that he WAS talking to me. But did I care? No. I can't be bothered removing someone from my already full ignore list to fit him inside. Anyway, I was busy browsing the tip.it forums. Then we meet eachother in the bank. And he starts to spam quickchat with [Enter] [N] [2] which said "My runecrafting level is 46" He made me crack. There and then. I insulted him with every curse I knew. I insulted his mother. His family. His descendants. I mocked his intelligence. His being a waste of time. Him being a waste on todays society. I told him to log out. I told him to delete his character. I told him that no one liked his family because they all stank like the putrid feaces they lived in. And do you know how he responded? "stupid u noob" and he goes outside the edgeville bank to make fires instead, carefully avoiding me every time I go to bank. o.O. So I plead from the intelligent tip.it forum posters that come to answer questions for their fellow members: - Why are there too much people like him that come to annoy other people that play runescape? - Why do they even want to annoy us at all? I'm a level 3. And he has full zamorak armour. SO WHAT? IS THIS THE ONLY WAY HE CAN RELIEVE HIS PSYCHOTIC FRUSTRATIONS? - And even when he DOES spark a verbal fight with someone else, can he not be competent enough to make some CREATIVE INSULTS? Is that all he can say? "stupid u noob"? - And why does he start it in the first place? A few lines of real insults from me and he wimps out. I mean, COME ON! Where's that TOUGH MACHO GUY inside you, eh? I thought this was a VERBAL FIGHT? Come on! Don't wimp out like this? Aww, its ok. May I help you notice that I used NO "swear words" or "offensive language" during our short verbal exchange? --Thank you for reading-- oh by the way, if this post is much like a similar post i read about concerning the insulting use of "noobs", then please lock this thread. currently i am too PISSED OFF to find that thread myself.
  2. Set a goal for yourself. - Finishing all quests. - Collect all music. - Explore places that you've never been to before. - Finish all achievement diaries. And if you're really bored, then this is a good chance to take a long break from runescape! Do some volunteering work. phone some distant relatives. join in on the christmas celebrations :P
  3. You get 1.33exp for hitpoints for every damage you do to a monster. You also get 4exp each hit for your 3 combat stats if you're using melee combat, and depending on what attack type you use (attack, strength, or defence) You don't, and can't get hitpoints exp for getting hit. For example: a monster has 50hp. You kill it, and in total, you get 66.5exp for hp. You will also get 200xp for either your attack, defence or strength skills depending on your attack type. You can find more information on combat experience gain here http://www.tip.it/runescape/?page=combat_guide.htm#s (tip.it skill guides)
  4. http://forum.[Please Use QuickFind Code].ws?22,23,750,57599281 --edit--wait, they don't let you post runescape forum websites now? anyway, go to runescape forums, type in "$ Mastering Investing $" in the search part, then go to page 8 [hide=] [/hide]
  5. Wouldn't it be easier just use magic against dragons that are or use metal? Quick combat triangle revision - Metal armour conducts magic, which do more damage - Metal armour deflects ranged ammo easily, which means less damage
  6. well for example - The Temple of Ikov quest, the requirements are level 42 thieving and level 40 ranged. I'm level 3. But to get the boots of lightness, which lowers weight carried by 4kg, technically there isn't any skill required into getting it. Just need to get the quest started in the first place. Can I have level 1 ranged and still start the quest? Even though I'm probably not going to use ranged at all to get the boots. Quest URL = http://www.tip.it/runescape/?rs2quest_id=36 Also - The Inferno Adze. To get it, you must light 14 beacons, and some of the beacons need some quests started but not necessarily finished. For example, 1 beacon needs Family Crest started. Family crest requires level 40 magic (But again, I'm level 3 =_=) Can I still start the quest to light the beacon? To get my inferno adze? Family Crest quest database = http://www.tip.it/runescape/index.php?rs2quest_id=27 Inferno Adze item database = http://www.tip.it/runescape/index.php?rs2item_id=7975 Beacon Network = http://www.tip.it/runescape/index.php?p ... rk.htm#how
  7. correct, but you can still safe spot and still use the accumulator if your monster is big (say a dragon), you're in a tunnel and its big size cant squeeze into where you are to get you, and the place where your knives usually drop isn't blocked by anything (fances or rocks) at all.
  8. When it says "For this quest you need level 40 magic" or "For this quest you need level [insert number here] [insert skill here]", what do they mean? Is it possible to start the quest with below needed stats, but not being able to continue when the skill level needed to do something will be too low? Or is it that it's NEEDED to get the certain level before the quest can be started? Sorry if I can't test it myself :P. I'm f2p, and I already have the skill requirements for all quests available to me.
  9. High slash/stab/crush armour ratings migitate damage High defence level has "parry" or "dodge" affects, where they hit 0 on you more often. For a pure, having level 1 defence means they can achieve higher attack and strength level compared to someone else their own level. They wouldn't care if they got owned, because they haven't got much armour to lose. - In F2P all they'll lose is maybe a rune scimitar (compared to full rune) - In P2P, a DDS, and maybe a Dragon scimitar (compared to barrows/rune armour) Also, because they have a higher strength and attack level compared other people of the same level - They hit more constantly, and with more damage - The opponent will need to eat more, because they will know they're fighting a pure, and pures tend to do uncommonly and exceedingly high K0 damage. - And since the opponent will need to eat more, they will not be attacking the pure as much. So lower defence is needed, and less food is consumed. There's 2 distinct advantages of a pure with level 1 defence ^^ --Edit-- Oh it's been mentioned already above :P ignore my post
  10. Those types of puzzles are really easy once you get the hang of it.. It's like riding a bike. Once you get it right, it all seems too easy. I would help you, but i don't know how to tell you the way to finish it via a forum >.< I think there are websites on google that can help you with those kind of things. Maybe you want to check there?
  11. buy iron ore and coal from GE smelt steel then sell for 200gp profit. - I think cowhides are a bit risky... - and I don't know how to merchant ^^ - but I earned 2.2mil in 1 and a half weeks by smelting steel. Not bad for a level 3 ^.^
  12. Sorry, but the only thing I agree with you is the way a ranger's fast attack rate can tag 2 monsters at once. But don't worry about that ^.^ It doesn't make them kill monsters any faster. It just means they have to click 100 times more just to kill 2 monsters at once. And you can collect their arrows and annoy them out of your world, because they're being jerks :P.
  13. You certainly have the patience to write 3 paragraphs of masterpiece.
  14. Recognise these? - Zombie Hand - Scared - Bunny-Hop - Snowman Dance - Scared - Trick - Give Thanks These are the emotes that are only unlocked after doing their specific holiday events. The most recent , "Trick", was released with the last halloween event. I'm wondering if there's any way to reclaim them, maybe, at the next holiday event. Or if I'm going to be stuck with these ugly missing emotes from my emote page forever. I've looked everywhere in hopes of finding an answer, and even the best Runescape help site has failed to give me the answer I need >.< Hopefully people can give me an answer here :)
  15. When you DO give some newb 5k, and then he starts putting on his best armour while saying "lol u level 3 noob i tricked you" "lol i have 50k, i dont need you monoey" Does he still not realise that everyone hates him? wish I had a screenshot of it.
  16. Summer pies = Heals self AND gains energy Mud pies = Slows down opponent in pvp/bounty hunter Curry = Chaos elemental Tuna and corn potato/manta ray = best healing food in the game (and cooked manta ray sells for more than raw :P) --> All skills have some use, which means they are useful. Even if it's a little bit. But I think the least useful skill is firemaking. - apart from some quest requirements, easy skillcape, easier total level, and some usefulness in some minigames (those of which could be achieved with most other skills), firemaking is just a money sink to the rich people who can afford to spend 3mil on 150k maple logs.
  17. Fishing sharks is much easier, but the tuna potato has 2 more hp healed per item. So within an inventory full of food, that much could make the difference between a successful pk, and death. And then it depends if you are going to buy the butter, or churn it yourself Since you need to churn milk into cream, then cream into butter, it's going to take a long time to make potatoes that way. and then you need to get a bunch of potatoes from some place (most of the places where I know potatoes grow are far away from banks) but if you've got those 2 sorted out, then making the potatoes is really simple. But fishing sharks and monkfish provides you with fast fish, although they may heal for less per item. more info can be found here, on the tip.it cooking skill guide http://www.tip.it/runescape/index.php?p ... tm#veggies
  18. I think buying flax from the GE, spinning it at lumbridge, then selling it for 100-150gp more is pretty fast. Or you could buy some cowhide/dragon hides from the GE, tan it, then sell it for a profit (prices sometimes fluctuate, so you have to take a look at which hides are worth tanning, and which are better to leave alone).
  19. Watch TV while you're travelling to and from the bank and altars. listen to music chat with friends ^^ Maybe that'll alleviate the boredom, but won't give any extra exp gains >.>
  20. Firstly - HAY! ELFEN LIED!~ Wait, she lived in the end didn't she? >.< still, it was a sad ending =( Anyway, Tormented Demons -> I think a Darklight can weaken them by a large amount in the first place -> Enchanted ruby bolts are extremely effective against them (since it has a high hp, a percentage taken away is always going to be higher health taken away) -> I think it is also possible to get it snagged behind something. And while it's trapped, you can wear it down with your ruby bolts and a halberd. (It can protect itself with different protection prayers, so you need to change attack styles constantly. -> if it is like the balance elemental from the While Guthix Sleeps quest, then it will attack you with 3 different attack styles. I recommend dragonhide, while protecting magic prayer. With dragonhide, some ruby bolts, a rune crossbow, and a dragon halberd, it should fall within your 500k budget. -> more info can be found at the tip.it beastiary http://www.tip.it/runescape/index.php?r ... er_id=1223 -> and from the tip.it quest help http://www.tip.it/runescape/index.php?rs2quest_id=199 please remember i'm f2p, and im a level 3 :P. please don't make judgements on my assumptions :D
  21. Hi, the only place I know where green dragons are is in the wilderness, around level 12-13 western part of the wilderness. Green dragons are easy to kill, but with ranged, you're not going to be able to use bows. The easiest way to kill them with ranged is with throwing knives, or crossbows - because you're going to need to take an anti-dragon fire shield with you. And since this is the wilderness, beware of pkers >.< and ancient mager/teleblocker teams. Drops: - Green dragonhide 1,635gp in the grand exchange, down 19gp today. - Dragon bones 1,793gp in the GE, down 2gp today more drops from tip.it's beastiary http://www.tip.it/runescape/index.php?rs2monster_id=59
  22. There's a forum on www.runescape.com where you can find god war dungeon/kalphite/dagganoth/etc hunting groups. From runescape.com, go to community -> forums -> Community - Plan events and interact with other players -> PvM (Organise and discuss Player versus Monster activities here )
  23. From http://www.runescape.com (click the thanksgiving event hyperlink) I'm thinking.. chompy birds? They definately said you're going "look a bit harder" to find them. So I think the drop rate might be rarer, and the level of birds that drop them will also be higher. But you should be able to get them after the event.
  24. I think that's at a battlestave altar. To get there you must first bring some armour and food, or use protect from melee prayer - go into the edgeville dungeon (the entrance is near the 2 yew trees in edgeville) - go into the path where the chaos druids are. This is wilderness (BE CAREFUL!) - run up until you reach some high level black demons (this is where armour and food comes in handy) - near the north-western end of the dungeon where the black demons lives is a ladder - climb up the ladder is the battlestave alter, and thats where you get your next clue. --edit: oh lol, you figured it out already :P
  25. If rune armour is common enough for members pvp worlds, then I think it's good enough for f2p pking. And yeah, better mage armour definately needs to be introduced, instead of keeping the old wizards robes any level 3 can wear :P.
