Black Demons and Hellhounds

A while back i blocked those to creatures from my task due to them being hard for me to kill effectlively (sp?), well now i have 68 summoning for a bunyip and i also have guthans. My question is should i unblock these and block something else, or just leave them blocked and not worry about it. Any other suggestion would be appreciated.

They are both pretty crummy tasks reguardless. The wild dogs at greaters makes them skipped/blocked till 127 cb, and hounds are often crowded and have no drops, (the gold charms arent worth it really) I skip them 100%.

 

 

 

Which slayer master are you using and whats your other 2 blocked monsters atm?

I ment that to be BLACK Demons and not Greaters, I usually use Duradel and i onloy have 147 quest points so i can't block ne other creatures.

i'd unblock both and block steel dragons + wyverns, as black demons are great charm droppers and hellhounds aren't that crowded atm, the whole slayer hype after smoking kills has ended :)

i blocked black demons they are decent exp but take ages

 

i do hell hounds tho good lvl 3 clue droppers

Black Demons can be fun with guthans and a bunyip you can try to see if tanking works for you.

black demons are worth it, i still cant understand the ppl who block them..

 

 

 

there decent xp + a lot of crimson charms in chaos tunnels

 

 

 

going there is easy: tele to edge> enter the tunnel north of monastery > use the north west portal > the north-west portal again (dont forget to pray melee against the mummies) > run to north east through zamorak monks> use the closest portal to you and your there

 

 

 

its alot of text, but your there in about... 30 secs?

 

 

 

 

 

for melee:

 

 

 

use protection against melee, and a gear which improves prayer..

 

you can use piety if you like

 

 

 

for range:

 

 

 

you can use a safespot there.. north of the room..

 

 

 

 

 

they drop a LOT of crimson charms (about 70-80 per task) and if your lucky also rune chain/med helm

 

 

 

so good luck and DONT BLOCK THEM for no reason at all....

Thanks for the help, only reason i blocked them was 1) i had really low stats at 100 combat, and

 

2) i didnt have either guthans or a bunyip to use on them

Unblock the Black Demons, you could have ranged them easily with your range level, plenty of crimson charms, drop rune items that can be alched quite often too. Using a halberd works too, but that's on the slow side.

 

 

 

Hellhounds, I don't know... They're a pain to kill though, I'll give you that.

Black demons is a good task, i would unblock them.

 

Hellhounds are sad, bad drops and just drop gold charms...keep blocked :thumbsup:

Ok as soon as i go back to duradel ima unblock the black demons and keep the hellhounds blocked, Should i now block steels if i get them?

Black demons are great exp with a combat familar and great charms

 

 

 

You will pray melee the whole task though. I average 60-90 crims a task on them and around 40 other charms to boot (gold/green/blue)

 

 

 

They are also decent range exp

 

 

 

 

 

I would block Irons and steels for sure. Skip hellhounds, if you unlocked terrorbirds they could be blocked, black dragons are blockable or you can kill babies/kbd.

I disagree. Dragons and wyverns give so many better drops. I currently have black demons blocked. They take way too long and are too expensive to finish and rarely drop anything good (even charms). Unless you want to cannon black demons, its not worth the time wasted. Dragons and wyerns make you Lots more money (and clue scrolls). Black demons don't drop clues. :

Black demons and hellhounds are both relatively GREAT experience builders, but lousy earners.

 

 

 

If you're looking for money, skip them. If you're building experience, take them off.
