Summer's end

Hello. MY first post here. I am currently in the process of trying to do the Summer's End quest.

 

 

 

I can get nowhere in the first room and even died the last time I tried. I only managed to cut 6 sets of cursed willow logs. I can not even eat my sharks fast enough to stay alive. The game and the quest guide both mention keeping my ears open, but I don't hear anything when the beast attacks until the attack is right on top of me.

 

 

 

Do I need to turn on the area sounds?

 

 

 

Is it better to just get some logs and go then keep coming back until you have 15 sets? That would be extremely difficult since the beast takes 2/3 of my HPs every attack.

 

 

 

Do protection prayers work at all?

 

 

 

I use the pool from the As A Last Resort quest for unlimited run energy. This is the only quest that I have left to do other than the new one While Guthix Sleeps.

 

 

 

I do not play the game in high detail and barely could if I even wanted to.

the trick is to keep moving. what i did was run until his attack hits the ground where i was then click on a willow root to cut. and then only stay at each root of 3 seconds or so then click on the next root and keep doing that wether or not you get a log until you have the 15 u need.

Well that is what I tried. I tried to keep moving, but even trying to put the logs into the pits almost gets me killed. I have 99 woodcutting and firemaking, but running around trying to locate the pits is a problem. As soon as I stop at one I get hit for huge damage.

 

 

 

What exactly is meant by the one click teleport? Meaning what teleports will work in the wilderness at that level?

Watch the screen... when it starts to shake, run like hell, that's when he's about to fire his attack.

Thank you for that tip about the screen shaking. I have made it through the first 2 rooms now.

 

 

 

In the third room is there a trick to viewing the room?

 

 

 

I kept going around the room like the guide says, but I can't see the whole room at once. This makes watching for the rotation almost impossible.

 

 

 

Also the guide says to keep WALKING around the room, should that be running?

 

 

 

Are there only the three colors red, blue, and yellow?

 

 

 

So there would be more graves than the elders souls?

 

 

 

Can you see the color of the beast's attacks even if it is not facing you?

Third room is the easiest one by far.

Buy a varrock teleport off the GE, click on it once and you'll know what a one click tele is :P

Got it done. I found it much easier just to try and track one color soul until the beast uses that attack. Then go to another color. As opposed to trying to keep track of all the colors at once.

 

 

 

Varrock teleports do not work past the level 20 wilderness. Amulets of glory require a right click and then a left click (making them 2 click teleports) as many other teleport types do.

When fighting the beast, you are in spirit realm, which doesn't count as wilderness.

I beat the last room by pressing the down arrow to pull down the perspective as low angle as possible. Then use the minimap to navigate your clicks, and definitely use ooglog pools for run energy.

 

 

 

This allows you to see the preferred color more easily, and also run like crazy while he's splashing all over the place. I still croaked a couple times before I got it done correctly.
