hxecute
I've been using this, it's very fast magic xp, faster than alching, each cast occurs quicker than an alch, even if it's less xp per cast, you cast 3 superheats in the time you cast 1 alch. that's 159xp instead of 134xp (i think). And with the new magic book update, if you use the second tab in the spellbook, you'll see superheat is near the bottom. If you position your mouse at the bottom of the icon, you can superheat 20 gold ores now before having to move your mouse. This means less banking!!! Now if you use mouse-keys on windows, by pressing Alt-Shift-Num Lock, you can position your mouse on at the bottom of the superheat icon, and keep pressing the number 5 on the right hand side of your keyboard, and after practice, you'll see the speed you have to click at. And after superheating 20 times, you can bank, withdraw another 20 ore, and do it again. There's no need to move your mouse to superheat the other ores, better to bank. This way, it doesn't require that much focus, and you can watch a movie or whatever while superheating away. And a tip, for all you farmers out there, keep 7 inventory spaces at the bottom for your farming stuff like tele runes and items, and do this at shantay chest if you are f2p (quick one click bank) or castle wars or duel arena if you are p2p. And using an amulet of nature to tell you when your crops are ready, this is good xp for barely any effort :) And for all you people who don't want to lose too much money, but still want the fast magic xp, do iron ores, less smithing xp, but you lose 80k-ish an hour (never checked how much it was an hour, but I farmed ranarrs doing this, and I ended up with a profit). Iron ores will never fail to smelt with superheat, and the ores are 99gp each, the bars sel for about 245gp each, so that's 146gp you get from each superheat. The cost of nats is 236gp, so altogether, you lose 90gp per superheat. Now sure alching can be done cheaper, and you can take it places with you, but it's still hard to get the items to alch, and it's costly to buy the items to alch. 900k just for 100 battlestaff alchs?!?! 4000 iron ores into that ;) Now this isn't the best xp for anything really, but it's cheap, and good for people who don't have too much start-up cash. llamster
I use superheat item very often but this guide misrepresents it. The smithing xp is for the type of bar you are making, not always 30 xp. Unless you click incredibly slow the spell is not nearly as fast as you can click; the maximum speed is 1.8 seconds per bar (plus banking). I superheat gold and it is the fastest xp for superheating but it actually loses about 1M per hour for ~1800 bars. It is true that you can approximately break even with mith, adamant, or runite bars, but the guide should mention gold too. Iron is the same speed at far lower cost. Ah, this reminds me about the noob on the Runescape forums who was upset with the quest "Cold War" because apparently his grandparents died in the war. :wall:

kdtaereo
nice guide, i level my smithing this way, and it's really GREAT, it's still greater if you get your own mith or coal, it gives you a little income, plus mage, mining and smith xp  @santana_raphaelI'm retired from Runescape due to my really bad connection, maybe coming back soon

Suggestions appreciated This guide is as concise as a gourmet's handbook with the guidelines of "Pick up fork, stab food, insert into your mouth, then chew".
