vettro Posted December 12, 2008 Share Posted December 12, 2008 I've been saving for a little while to get an armadyl helm. I figured it would be a big boost to my current avansies outfit. Namely not having to wear an armadyl pendant. I guess my question is do you think this is a wise purchase? If the helm is more than 1/3 your net worth i wouldn't bother, unless you sell it back after your trip. Though, personally, i would have one if i was ranging aviansies. As for the fury, i'd get it. It's just one of those things you will use soooo much, even though it's not exactly the BEST gp-per-stats-boost item, it's just something you will use so much you should get one. If you melee more than you range then fury should be the number two spot. If all you do is Aviansies then the helm can go into the second spot. The helm is 4.2m and you only have 2.5 currently.. meaning once you actually get 4.2 you would spend it on a helm.. definately not a good purchase. Karils isn't even close is it? armadyl really isn't a whole lot better than d hide or karils. Its about 10 or so points better in defense stats. Karils top has 30 range bonus and armadyl top has 33. Offensive stats are as good as black dhide, but they degrade. The coif is another cause, it's just utter junk. Almost anything is better than that. Use armadyl or void if you range. Use karil if you really really need high mage defence while meleeing. Personally, I use void nearly anywhere. With dfs and unicorn I can tank nearly anything. I was thinking in that order too. 70 prayer is a must but I have no use for it at this point. And no. . . I tank avansies so 70 prayer would mostly be for piety at the Void place and blessing peoples graves when I start GWD. To meme- I do Avansies all the time so I think that I will get the armadyl helm because I frees up my amulet. I might try it for a trip or too and then sell it if I don't think it's worth it.
