kdtaereo
Well, i need some help, because i can't concentrate on one skill and stick with it for longs periods of time. I tried hearing some music but that doesn't bind me on one skill. I'm planning on getting qp cape, as it is by far the least boring cape. but i also want some skills 99 i got 100+ with no skillcape |: Can someone give me some advice? :( @santana_raphaelI'm retired from Runescape due to my really bad connection, maybe coming back soon

RSBDavid
Don;t try and do too much at once. Take it slow and wasy. Don't rush, thats when accidents happen. :twss: If you try and go for it all at once, there is a low chance you will actually accomplish it. Try to divide your goal into sections and take breaks everyonce in a while and do somehting like bh or tog. transcript80
100+ combat and no skill cape? *points to sig* Man I must feel bad them.... NOT! Enjoy the game, rushing a skill by grinding it gives carpal tunnel syndrome to your arm/wrist, and takes the fun out of the game. What good is a 99 when you never do it again, because due to the grinding you resent it? As stated before, break your goals up in smaller brackets, don't go from 1-99 in one go, as the chance of burning out is close to 100%. The quest cape, although looked down upon by some, is indeed a worthy cape. At least for me, since it is the only cape I have. Other data was removed when acoount got hacked... Randox
Dont push youself beyond your limit, you could end up hateing a skill if you do so. I tried to push hunter, and got from level 40 to 75 about as fast as is possible to do so (a few hours), and couldn't touch the skill for months because I grew to despise it. Recently I managed to clock about an hour of relaxed hunting, which is about a 3rd of the xp I can make red chinning, but I managed that hour without going nuts so I might ween myself back into the skill (its the only members skill I actualy ever enjoyed training, possibly teh only skill I love). When I was in teh hospital years ago (like 3), I was still f2p, and I got a laptop with internet from the hospital (dial up too), and I fished lobser, and cooked them, and got to 73 cooking and 72 fishing at least in a week or two, from about level 40 both skills. Now does anyone know just how boring and mindnumbing that is, and there is no inteligent conversation any more. Banking takes like 2 minutes or more. Its insane. I still fish, but now its monks and I have a summons to help me fish faster. Its worth noting I sold so much cooked lobster it bought me full zammorak rune armour, which was 2.2m (when I had no starting money) and the lobster sold for 240gp if I was really lucky (usualy 210 for cooked). Thats over 10,357 lobster, my most focused training ever. I was in that hosipital for weeks, nothing better to do.
ultimatballr
Anyone who hasn't grinded to a 99 I don't believe their opinion really matters. Especially when their post is all negative like "Don't do it, you WILL FAIL!!!!!" things of that nature. Just because they made an attempt at grinding and failed miserably so they put down anyone who can do it or want to do it, with their negativity. If your going for your first 99 you can do one of 3 things(though 2 of them kinda go together): 1- Do the skill you enjoy the most until it is 99. 2- Do a skill that is just really fast exp. (cooking and fletching being the main two) Or a skill that is really fast exp without the ability to AFK (Like thieving or firemaking) 3- Do a skill that is completely AFK'able. and watch videos on Youtube or whatever. Things like WC'ing and Fishing. I personally did the first option. Got 99 defence as my first 99. After that it was all kinda down hill, I how have 2 more 99's (well within 10k from 99, not trimming my cape) and I am working on a third. Yes I have set 99 goals, and yes I have burnt out horribly. Take a week or month break from RS came back and gotten right back down to business. It's a matter of getting over that hump and looking down to see how much more you understand what a 99 skill takes to achieve. Then reapplying what you know to your next skill and next skill and next one (should you choose) ---- If you find you still can't concentrate on a single skill then maybe taking a break from RS and coming back in a week, or two weeks, or even a months time will probably help you focus more. Apparently, my signature was to big.

ilovecardj
Do A skill you enjoy, set sub goals and go from there. Dont grind a hated skill just for cape (you will get laughed at more then respected for the most part) I respect a quest cape more then cook/fletch easily, I even respect a legends cape more then those 2 tbh. (thats how sad those 2 capes are to get just for a cape) If your looking for respect, get a very hard cape, and do lots of subgoals as you go: hard capes ie slayer/runecraft/farming. I wouldnt suggest agility (very hard/boring but minimal benefits almost these days) or anything you dislike. thats just my 2 cents. though if you badly want a cape, grind out thieving or something that has some actual effort in it Dragon Drops: 80+ boots, 7 med, 3 skirt, 2 left half, 2 Spear, 2 2hSlayer: 30+ whips, 4 Bows, 1 Mask, 3 Granite Legs, 1 Visage (Wyverns)Notable GWD Splits: Bandos Tassets: 12, Bandos Chest: 11, Bandos Hilt: 2Proud Slayer of 99 Att/Str/Def/HP/Range/Summoning
kdtaereo
Thanks for the replies, and see the skills which i enjoy: - Rc - Mining - Smithing - Slayer - Cbt Stats (including ranged and mage, excluding prayer and summ) /\ those are the ones which i like, so i'm thinking about getting maxed f2p cbt (no pray) after the qp cape is that any good? @santana_raphaelI'm retired from Runescape due to my really bad connection, maybe coming back soon
RayOxide
Rc wont help with less boredom. Slayer can and mining can. Smithing wont really. I like watching a video on my computer with runescape boxed, and moved over to the side so I can just see my hp bar and inventory, etc. I dont need a siggy no moar. mister_moocky
Pick a level, and set goals for yourself, and reward yourself for reaching them. For example, for every 1m xp, spend 100k bursting in cw. Don't just grind it out, because you'll end up getting boored. Watch tv or surf another site (tip.it, maybe you''ve heard of it?) if what you're doing allows it. As I type this, I'm playing Fist of Guthix, standing in the crowd in the middle. quit
kdtaereo
:wall: Yes, almost forgot this minimun detail about the rc not being an afkable skill I think i will stick with combat skills with slayer then Yes, i'm thinking about some rewards too, maybe just something fun like an cool armour, or do some minigames to get away from boredom thanks \ \  @santana_raphaelI'm retired from Runescape due to my really bad connection, maybe coming back soon
