December 24, 200817 yr My step-dad is pretty cool, even if it took some time for me to accept him at first, my mom is definitely happier with him and that's all that counts :thumbsup:. He doesn't try to act like if he was my father, either, and that's good too because probably I won't like him too much if he did... December 24, 200817 yr As long as your original parent got their marriage nullified, both them and your step-parent will not be in a state of sin. Step-parents are not inherently evil. December 30, 200817 yr I find it interesting that so many people here have or know others who have step-parents. Of all my friends and all of my community that I know, I only know of one girl who has a step-dad, and she lives 10 miles away and only comes here for school. She loves her step-dad though, it's the only masculine influence in the house. She has 4 sisters, a mother, and grandmother all living in one house.
