On a side note: is it still policy to lock threads discussing famous players? I always found that rule odd. They do have relevance to the game and have an impact worth discussing. However, I think I'll err on the side of caution and lock this anyway. Since there doesn't seem to be a consensus as to what happened to him it's probably mostly speculation, and I think he deserves some more privacy.
