Ouchy
Yucky, it's saved as JPEG, so it's grainy. Save it as PNG, that way, it retains the highest quality. Not bad for a first time, but the background is quite weird, and quite distracting. The text is quite difficult to read, but that is the font. Don't bother putting text on signature, as it is just a space filler, and usually makes the looks worse. Was this done on GIMP, or Paint.Net? If GIMP, then go to Gimptalk and look for tutorials there. If you were using Paint.Net, then go to The Paint.Net Forums. Good luck on your tag making journey! Don't give up, and keep practising! P.S. It usually pays not to post your first ever signature, as it usually isn't great. Post your second or third, next time, but it doesn't matter. Kaphias
You need to blend the render into the background more. Pat_61
Thats a little small to be a Desktop. - Blending Still Needs Work - That Render? Is horrible cut. Ouchy
It's alright, but you used the exact same background for it as your first signature. It is okay if you the same method, but change it around a little. As in different colours, positioning, etc. And go to PR like Pat suggested, you'll find good quality cut outs their. And most backgrounds are a lot bigger than that, like 800x800 and 1204x800 Pixels. By the time it stretches to your screen, it will be pixelated. Jopie211
It's ok, pretty much the average beginner signature: bad text (try not to add it next time), not enough blending on the render and a filter-piled background. For now, just go to a site like deviantART and search for something like 'signature tutorial' and read a lot of those. That's what I did and it really helps. Also, you can take a look at other people's work to get some ideas - don't rip/copy concepts exactly though! pixel avvy by me deviantART
Sam
Remove the text first, then the sig will look so much better. The things I would say to work on are blending, and starting to make your own backgrounds. Experiment with the available adjustments on GIMP too. Though I do like the simple colours on this signature. Keep it up  2257AD.TUMBLR.COM
M_u_s_ii_X
Your doing better than my first but... You need the render to look a lot more like its flowing with the rest instead of it standing out so much. You need to pick a font what goes well with the rest of the signature (Every1s bad at that :P) or just leave the font. If you want other ones go here. www.dafont.com The background looks like you've used black, red and white then went to gradiant tool -> differences then draw loads of diagonal lines. I dunno if you're wrong. Good luck. ⅹ Last.fm YouTube Team A vs Team B M u s ii X Rocky Keane ⅹ

pryomancer
To clarify, saving as a .jpg does not reduce the quality in any way if you save it at 100% quality. Saving as a .jpg in Microsoft Paint reduces the quality because it's been programmed to save at a low quality, nothing can be done about that. Advanced image editing programmes like Photoshop, GIMP and Paint.Net are capable of choosing the quality of the .jpg, so there is no issue with image degradation. .png is still a fine choice for a file type, but the way its algorithms work means the size of the file is higher. .jpg is the most common as it can easily lower file size with compression, by way of artifacts. You can probably get most images down to 50% quality with little noticable loss, and around 80% with almost no detectable loss.

Jopie211
^ Pretty sure he did make that, but it's really easy to do, it's just an effect in Gimp with text added to it. abbydog, try to put some more effort into your work than that, I'm pretty sure that's incredibly easy to do. It still looks filter-piled and bad and that animation effect is really boring. And the text is huge and distracting. D: Again, take a look at a few good tutorials. I wouldn't recommend most of the ones on GimpTalk. pixel avvy by me deviantART

Ouchy
Just made an awsome Assasins Creed Signature :ohnoes: Its scary  The render looks slightly unfocused in that signature. Did you apply a filter to it at all? And ditch the font, or don't add text at all. It's terrible. My relaxation method involves a bottle of lotion, beautiful women, and partial nudity.
