As many people know, in Barbarian Assault(refered to as "BA" from now on) allows you to get levels for points in order to improve your abilities.

 

 

 

Def: Increased Lure Range(Keeping runners from cave)

 

Atk: Increased max hit(killing penance)

 

Healer: More HP healed(keep people alive)

 

Coll:Bigger bag, INCREASED CONVERTING CHANCE AT EGG CONVERTER(Getting points from picking up eggs)

 

 

 

Bold is what we will be discussing.

 

 

 

As you can see, every role gets a bonus to help increase their point gain. With the collector, that is the opposite. The collector gets points from correctly picking up eggs. To get more points, you would want to quickly clear your inventory to pick up more. There Are three ways to do that.

 

1. Deposit into egg cannon

 

2. Right Click, destroy

 

3. Egg Converter

 

 

 

The egg converter is byfar the fastest. At level 2, you have acess to it. There is no point in converting besides destroying eggs, however the higher level collector the more eggs you get back. When you convert at a lower level(2)most of your eggs are destroyed. There will usually be 1-5 left. At higer levels you get more back. That is clearly bad, since you have to either use it again(time consuming), or destroy the rest.

 

 

 

But that is not the only use of the levels. Levels give you bigger bags to hold eggs in. That allows more to be picked up every run. If you are good at mousekeys or can destroy quickly, then infact you may be able to get moreeggs that way.

 

 

 

So discuss, is level 2 collector or 5 better?

The thing is, a cannon can only get loaded with 5 of each before they are fired. If there are no more eggs, then its good to shoot, however it should not be done if there are eggs.

I personally like to play BA, i only lately started gettin lvls in it tho, and i dont see the point of getting collector, more a waste of points :|

I don't know if collector points max out after a certain number of eggs. If they do, it's most likely around 40. But since the cannon should be used in every game, more eggs and higher success rate should be better. It will make the game go by more quickly. but if you get stuck with the ignorant players who believe the rumor, then you're kind of stuck. I've played Ba recently and discovered that the rumor is beginning to pass ever so slow but surely as the truth is coming out. Hopefully, it will be gone completely after a few more months. At that point, lvl 5 collector will be very good.

I don't think there is a cap, since I can usualy get 30-70 eggs a game, and the poitns rewarded don't seem to get capped.

I was agreeing that the cannon does not cost points, not sure how you understood that wrongly. Its good to see the cannon myth going away, idk if I will ever play ba again but people screaming cannon noob was the most annoying part of getting torso

I usually just right-click-destroy the current eggs while waiting for the attacker to call. Having a higher collector level has never really been a problem.

collector is boring and i only did for the torso if i ever go back i would spend points to upgrade everything but collector cuz its dumb... Look at me i can pick up an egg even though its not easter omg so fun!

I though you said I was mistaken so much.

I've got all the BA items, and am a master in all rolls, and I've never had too big of a problem with too many eggs. A good collector well fill the cannon as soon as he has 6 red eggs, so the defender can just shoot the initial burst of runners with red eggs (2 per kill). Of course, for the runners to die, there needs to be few penance healers around, so you need a quick acting healer. If you have a well trained, functioning team, lack of egg space shouldn't be a problem (unless you get unlucky and don't get much red egg calls). Unfortunately, the majority of BA players are terrible, and believe that shooting the cannon loses points. I think that the collector roll needs a better reward for leveling up; better egg effects for example (more damage for reds [or even splash damage!], more poision damage for greens, and longer snares for blues).
