Level 1 clue harvesting

Featured Replies

Well recently I've been trying to harvest level 1 clues.

I pickpocket HAM, and so far so good, as to the rate of clues. I get one about every

7-8 mins and i takes me about 10 minutes to complete them.

However of the 6 or 7 clues Ive done, ive never gotten anything worth over 100K,

however the rewards of level clues are moderatly good.

Am i just unlucky or do level 1 clues not give you much anyway. ?

You should get a rarer item from a treasure trail approximately 1 in 5 gos, so you're having an unlucky run. However, the value of a lot of the level 1 TT items are pretty low these days (trimmed chaps anyone?), so like Kent says, it may not be worth it. I read a blog where someone kept their results for over 500 level 1 clues - I'll try and find it.

There are better/faster/more efficient ways of making gp's.

Unless you're keen on thieving xp. No wait, there are still better ways then!

I've found level 2's to be pretty rewarding. Cockatrices drop these pretty often. They are easy to complete and you don't have to go in wilderness. Level 1's make me mad because sometimes you only get 1 or 2 items and they are totally worthless.

Drops/Clue Finds:

Shield left half: 1,Dragon plateskirt: 1, Warrior's Helm: 1, Obsidian Cape: 1, Robin Hood Hat: 1, Dragon Platelegs: 1, Dragon Boots: 4, Amulet of Ranging: 1

I did farm level 1 clues for a few days and managed to complete 4-6 per hour, but most of the rewards were pretty [cabbage]

A better spot for clues is to buy about 10k bronze knives and go to the goblin house beside Al-Kharid gate.

I agree. Of my *two* level 2 scrolls, I've gotten over 100k the first time and a penguin mask the second. Could be just luck though, I know where it came from

Didn't you answer your own question? My max was around 10 steps though, but don't remember if that was with a 2 or a 3. I spent about 1 hr at Catablepons and received both level 2s from them.
