January 8, 200917 yr Here is how I understand it, please correct me if Iam wrong. You can go to various masters based on your combat level. These masters give you certain tasks. By finishing them you can do more tasks. If the task is too hard you can "Burthorpe" it. That is go to the slayer master in Burthorpe and ask for a easier task which will override your current one. After Completing Smoking Kills, You gain points for completing slayer tasks. These points can be use to buy items or learn how to make them. I dont get what happens "to burthorping a task" after you finish Smoking Kills.
January 8, 200917 yr You can still burth tasks, you just lose your tasks in a row count. So basically you cancel tasks if you don't want to do them. Come to #tip-it on Swift IRC, if you're cool
January 8, 200917 yr You ditch Burthroping almost completely. You spend points to ban certain tasks, and skip them as well. [Summoning guide (AOW)] [Slayer guide] [Melee & Brawl player]
January 8, 200917 yr With Smoking Kills you can use points to cancel task (30 points) or block certain tasks (100 points) forever, "burthorpe-ing" now restarts you task number back down to 0, now you have to do 5 new tasks again so you can start getting more points. January 8, 200917 yr Sheesh, that sucks No it doesn't. Burthorping would give you a rubbish task, 43 desert lizards or something equally as bad which you couldn't skip. So you had to take less XP, and still do an annoying task just because you were not strong enough to take on steel dragons. Slayer points are so awesome. Firstly you get to select 4 tasks never to be recieved again. Secondly instead of burthorping, you can pay 30 points to skip, without it affecting your streak. Thirdly, once you have all the knowledge through points and have 4 tasks blocked you can keep a stash of 90 points for skipping tasks you don't feel like doing and then everything else you can put towards slayer dart runes. These soon add up and monthly I am trading them for almost 2mil's worth of runes, nice little bonus for the hardcore slayer. If you are struggling with slayer masters and points just use the Canifis master for 9 tasks and the 10th use your highest master. This won't get much XP, but the points will rack up, allowing you to buy knowledge very fast. Just make sure you leave enough points to perm block tasks as they appear. Trust the Gene Genie!

Well, when you argue so well Cat... Im Just lazy Sorry I wasn't that clear. Use the Canifis dude for tasks 1-9 as these are easiest tasks which count (The Burthorpe man/woman doesn't). On the 10th task use the highest you can. This will be Duradel/Lapalok if you are 100+ with 50 slayer or Summona otherwise. Then tasks 11-19 use the Canifis guy again and on the 20th Duradel/Lapalok or Summona again. 21-29 Canifis and 30th the highest one. To clarify this nets you fast points not XP. Most people suggest this method to power through getting the helm/rings/blocks and to build up a stash of points for future cancelling. Once you have them all bought though use your highest master all the way. Trust the Gene Genie!
