January 24, 200917 yr So all the guides I've looked at have seemed to been focused with 1-99 in mind. So i was wondering what is the best way to get up to 68 summoning if 68 summoning is my goal (without using blue charms). Thanks a lot! Edit: I was also considering distractions and diversioning, and possibly tears of guthix'ing it up to a decent level so that I could save some cash and charms, what do you guys think about this? and if i did this way, what level should I aim for? or should I just level up summoning and pay for it so I can use bunyips right away, and D&D and ToG either construction or runecrafting? January 24, 200917 yr Since i see you love slayer, slay for all charms as well as waterfiends for crimsons. Otherwise if you have plently of cash, just make the highest level thing you can make that don't require blue charms or hard seconds like the cockatrices. But charms are probably the hardest part. :? 99 Fletching - 08/14/08Fire Cape - 3/7/09Quest Cape - 12/29/0999 Defense - 3/17/10

January 24, 200917 yr 1) Exp rewards are fine, as Summoning is definetely one of the harder skills to train... plus, charm xp values goes up over levels, so saving charms helps in the long run, too. 2) Level goes are up to you, but obviously 68, 88, 96, and 99 have some good rewards. There are MANY other great familiars as well. [Summoning guide (AOW)] [Slayer guide] [Melee & Brawl player]

Needless to say, I feel honored that the author of the definitive summoning guide, as well as one of the best slayer guides, has replied to my question! I think I didn't ask part of my question clearly. If I was to distraction and diversion and tears of guthix my summoning up, what is a good point to switch to the conventional leveling method? (actually paying for it) I was kind of thinking maybe D&D and ToG up to 52 and then switch to the normal way, but I am not sure. Thank you very much! Click here to visit my Blog!! There are MANY other great familiars as well. I do agree with Kent. However summoning isn't hard to train. Yes it's expensive for lower levels but it isn't hard. If you slay for your charms then I see the charms as a by-product of slayer so they've taken no effort at all. Then the pouch making is quick, better once you have the Kyatt but the Pictoris method or the Balloon Method work just as well for lower levels. If you really want summoning XP then use all ya XP lamps in it. You can't use Tears of Guthix as you have 31 summoning and are unranked in both runecrafting and hunter. Plus you're only 2 levels from overtaking 33 construction as well. A lot of your other stats are well below 68 so by the time you've upped them past 68, you could have got far higher summoning from regular methods. The penguins give decent XP per week if you want to them, but that's probably the only thing you'll be able to do regularly. Trust the Gene Genie!
