February 5, 200917 yr Because the phone is the only one reflecting light. If the phone was the only one reflecting light, then the rest of the picture would be perfectly black. Think in terms of raytracing. How were you moving your hand? As in, were you moving the whole thing or were you just moving the fingers holding the phone, making it the only thing moving enough to get a blurred exposure? Also, your hands do look slightly blurry- Yet due to the laws of DoF it should be perfectly in focus. That may be a small motion blur.
February 5, 200917 yr Author i was moving my whole hand and phone 1980 Berlinetta with a 350, bored, mild cam, intake carb, headers, exhaust
February 5, 200917 yr Strange. I can't really tell why that would happen, other than if if your camera compiles longer exposures in some funny way.
February 5, 200917 yr The phone is like a mirror which messes up the light, probably what Pat was trying to explain.
February 5, 200917 yr I think your camera simply saw the moving light so it recorded that, and it only recorded your hand how it behaved on that moment. Your hand didnt get blurred because it doesnt reflect as much light as the phone did. Something like that, I think. :| [http://woopidoo2.deviantart.com][Tip.it Moderator from Dec 10, 2006 to 03 Sep, 2008]
February 5, 200917 yr As stated above, it's likely to be an issue with the light. I suggest a longer exposure, and slower but longer strokes of movement. :
