pulli23 Posted February 11, 2009 Share Posted February 11, 2009 Hello, I'm planning to do mining quite a bit (till 85)... And I'm wondering, what are the best mining spots for each ore type? Please don't say things like "you should just do iron/granite": I KNOW, I just want to know how much better they are! So what are the best spots for: -iron, -coal -mithril -addamant (-rune?) I've done all quests, but I plan to bank everything! (ow and fyi: I'm members) So, any advice? First they came to fishingand I didn't speak out because I wasn't fishing Then they came to the yewsand I didn't speak out because I didn't cut yews Then they came for the oresand I didn't speak out because I didn't collect ores Then they came for meand there was no one left to speak out for me. Its amazingly quick the only issue is the pouches cost 16k each, but you'll more then make the money back after only a few trips. But what about mith/addy? - I could always go hobglobin (but that's really a last resort).. Gnome isn't very good either (bank is annoying lot of clicks away).. Ow and 1 ore I forgot: golds, crating guild with skill necklace (have all teleport jewelry stocked up more than enough), or arizidan(? dwarven) mines? Or maybe that karamja place? If you mine coal as well as mithril/adamantite and use superheat, distance to the bank becomes a minor issue. And with the long spawn times for mithril and adamantite, superheating on-site is the only viable way to mine them outside of the wilderness. Yes, you essentially are mining coal and put it in a truck which is right next to mining site. But factor in that you still NEED to bank them once back at Seers, and the time it takes to get to and back from the mining site, you probably are looking at a slower rate than mining guild. Gold mine is best in Birmhaven, though if you are awfully high level in mining, Arzinian isn't too bad of a mine considering you have less competition and wait for respawn. Not crafter's guild, the ore count there is way too low. Runite is wherever thats empty. Heroes is certainly most popular, I found Neitiznot surprisingly full normally. Wildy is a hit or miss. Dark Beast seems to be less populated, but is much more of a hassle to mine. Templar GuardiansWhen are trying to lend something, the word to use is borrow. Not barrows, which is a mini-game.
