Little bit confused about how you were to build potential.

Would a situation like this work in p2p? as I have no intention of windstriking a friend... To say wc mages/mine in wildy etc with 4 dragon longswords on you. so your technically risking the 4th one if you were to die. then if a pker were to kill you simply protect item and keep all 4?

Just not sure if it would work and if anyone could clarify?

Thanks!

Are you saying the more you risk in the wild the more benefits of drops, etc?

Can anyone confirm what aspects this works on?

Mining, what about combat, drop levels, or bone spawn?

The benefits from drops are based on time outside of a safe zone with at least 75k risk. The more you risk when you kill someone the better the drop.

I thought it was stated that was just a 75k+ risk.

So 75k risk is the same as a 5mil risk.

Trust the Gene Genie!

Risk means items that are NOT protected by protect item. So you wouldn't gain any potential. Just keep 76k coins in your inventory, drop if a PKer comes near, you can tele back and pick it up if you die.

A good thing to do would be go to the agility arena with 76k and food and train agility on A PvP world. I have no idea why I haven't done that before. #-o

Many believe that the 1980 eruption of Mt. Saint Helens was a catostrophic geological event, in reality it was the day that Jimi Hendrix returned to Earth from the next world and actually stood up next to a mountain and chopped it down with the edge of his hand.

I think it'd work. Just be careful not to use the old flowering anymore lol :P

But you'd still get potential for the time you're not using protect item, no?

I was thinking the same. So wouldn't you just need one Dragon longsword on you to begin with?

No, Jagex is smart enough to know that you can hit protect item. Your first 4 items don't count

Risking means losing it if your die. If it's one of your 4 items, you aren't risking it, and it won't count.

Ahhh...thanks compfreak, that makes sense to me.

Seems like maybe this has been answered before too? Do you keep that potential over time, such as logging off. You come back on the next day is it still there? Or do you have to build it up every 24 hours, every time you log back on....?

No mate they are not, when I go fishing in the wild, I bring bandos top, tass, dragon claws, and warrior ring

I just fish with item protect off and I will still gain potential.

Also its the warrior ring left unprotected so just pro item just as you die to avoid losing it.

So you just technically 4 item.
