I've never had a Bronze task before, and was wondering what to do.

-Are anti-fires worth it?

-Should I mage or melee? I've heard mage is better, my my mage level is low, and I haven't unlocked ancients. If mage, what spell is the most efficient?

~Thanks in advance.

Thanks to Uno for the awsome sig <3

Yes use antifires, they're barely worth anything and they save lots of HP

Melee would perhaps require prayer potions, not sure how it would work with food. Maging is much easier. ::'

I thought you needed to pray with mage too?

Do you know any good guides? I couldn't find one.

You don't need to pray with antifires; just pot, step back, attack. They'll only attack with dragonfire, so if you wield an antidrag or dfs, you won't get hit at all ;)

^ Bronze Dragons are essencially the same, method to kill at least.

Use fire bolt with chaos gauntlets.

I'd actually suggest you ban them, they're not worth it, and if you can handle Bronze dragons, you can also kill Iron dragons, which are much better.

If you're going to try it anyway, antifire pots are definately worth it.

I'm not sure whether mage of melee is better, melee will cost you prayer pots, but magic a lot of runes. I would melee them, though.

And you don't have to pray with mage, because you can safespot them, and they will only fire their fireballs at you, which you have full protection against with antifire potions and antidragon shield.

Cancel it, it's not worth the trouble, it's either located in a MULTICOMBAT area or in an area with Wild Dogs. It's drops are horrible too boot. (Use different slayer master?)

sadukar123.jpg

sadukar123.png

Drops:

Misc: Abyssal Whip x28 , Dark Bow x5, Beserker Ring x3, Warrior ring x1

Dragon: Dragon Platelegs x2 , Dragon Plateskirt x2, Dragon Boots x38, Dragon Med Helm x4, Shield left half x3

Godwars: Godsword shard x13, Bandos Hilt x3, Bandos Chestplate x6, Bandos Tassets x4, Bandos Boots x5, Saradomin Sword x1, Zamorakian Spear x1,. Armadyl Helm x2, Armadyl chestplate x2.

I do them, since such a few number are given, they are weak, and I got a d skirt off my first task. I kill them in the CT. I would melee, wearing black mask/slayer helm, fury/glory, prossy or initiates, d boots, whip and antifire shield or DFS. Also, use antifire pots, as you need only 1-3 for a task, and they are cheap. Pray protect from melee, and flash piety if you have it. You will take no damage this way, unless you forget to renew antifire pot or let prayer drop. Also, bring a super attack and super strength. Good luck on a d skirt or d legs, as you will need it killing them. IMO, they are not worth either the block space or the cancel points, so I kill them.

GWD: 5000 Addy bar Steam B Staff x3 Z Spear x6 Sara. Hilt x2 Bandos Hilt x2 (LS, Solo)SS x6 (1 LS)
Tormented Demons: Shard x6 Slice x5 Claws x9 Limbs x3
DKS: Archer x21 Warrior x31 Berserker x30 Axe x51[/hide]

MELEE them; it is both cheaper and faster than mage. I'd try tanking them even at your relatively low defence, they are very weak and I don't know why so many people like to use prayer on them. CT is by far the best place to kill them; it's much closer to a bank and there's no wild dogs.

Ah, this reminds me about the noob on the Runescape forums who was upset with the quest "Cold War" because apparently his grandparents died in the war. :wall:

Since you asked how to complete one (and if look here: http://forum.tip.it/viewtopic.php?f=12&t=777892 or here: http://forum.tip.it/viewtopic.php?f=12&t=776981, you'll see that I also had no idea how to handle those things) and my levels were probably at or lower than yours the first time I took them on, here's what I did.

I recommend taking about four antifire mixes and eight to twelve prayer potions along with one or two good food items. Get your best gear on (with some kind of anti-dragon shield) and a good weapon (I used a ddp++ to poison and switched to a dragon long at first and then just started taking a ddp++), a one click teleport, 1100 gp (just for good measure) and some fire and nature runes with you to the Brimhaven dungeon. Use the Oo'glog pools (all the relevant ones), then teleport to Ardougne. Run south to the dock, pay the fare to the island, run south and east to the bar and pick up the bronze axe. Run back to the house teleport in the west of Brimhaven, then south to the entrance of the dungeon.

Cut your way in, run west to the stepping stones near the Moss Giants, cross them, run south through the fire giants, cut your way into the black demon area and run east. A tactic I like to use is to get a creature to attack me that I DON'T want to fight in the area right before the creatures I do want to fight. Hopefully, one of those dogs will try and attack right before you enter the bronze dragon area. Then, run in and position yourself so the only thing that will attack you once the other animal wanders away is a bronze. Once it attacks and does a bit of damage, I use a potion and/or turn on the prayer.

The great thing about Brimhaven is that after fighting there for a little while, all the enemies become non-aggressive (if you stay there) and will let you be much more selective about the fighting. Bury the dragon bones to make room for loot, but leave the bronze bars...don't even bother alching them. If you get low on potions or protection, teleport out and restock.

Until the animals become non-aggressive, try and position yourself near another bronze before you finish off the one you're killing.

They're not that tough, but they are scary if you've never fought anything but blues or greens. I do think you need antifire potion, but I'm not sure of your levels.

In fact, you should read up on a guide of the dungeons to make sure you can reach those guys before you set off (some minor agility and I think woodcutting requirements).

Happy Hunting. I don't mind those tasks (I wouldn't ban them because they're usually only about 45 and I can knock off 20 or so each trip...more if I get lucky and get a Leo the Gravedigger random event to stow some of the loot. Oh, before you decide you're gonna leave the area, you might as well fill up on dragon bones or bronze bars. A less than full inventory is wasted money!

Bronze dragon are easy. Kill them in the Chaos Tunnels.

As you are on slayer task use melee as you have the helm/mask. You will need prayer pots and anti fire pots. Pray melee and piety.

They are not worth a perm ban, you can kill them easily if need be unlike irons/steels. If you don't like them you can skip for 30 points, they are not a commonly assigned task.

To SportsGuy - I hate the Brimhaven Dungeon, and it's bad for slayer experience anyway. Also, my levels were the first thing in my post, so you shouldn't be unsure. Thanks for the supply info, though.

To cat - sounds good ::'

George - doesn't matter if you hate it...learn to love it...I tried it at both and it's just easier...go ahead...deal with multiple enemies if you want. Have fun, but you're missing out on an easier place to do it. Also, I wasn't really unsure of your levels...I couldn't remember where my levels were then in comparison to yours now.

Cat - you're right about not perma-banning and about them being pretty easy, but going to the Chaos Tunnels just isn't the best way. There's only two, it's multi-combat, the earth warrior guys are always wandering in to attack. Also, he/she doesn't have access to piety right now.

Seriously, I don't get why people are so in love with the Chaos Tunnels. It's not even that much quicker to get to, not that much safer, either.

I never visited Brimhaven's dungeon until I had to do the Bronze Dragons slayer task and after trying both places, it's just superior to CT.

^What chaos guys? There's just two bronze dragons and a few earth warriors.

And it is far closer to a bank than brimhaven. It's a short run from Edgeville to the Tunnels entrance, and from there you're only a few rooms away. And the multicombat is an advantage; you'll be able to use a combat familiar, though that's negligible in this case seeing as how the OP's summoning isn't even ranked.

Right, my mistake...forgot what they were, but it's not like that's any better...

What difference does proximity to a bank make? It's not like you're gonna want to bank all those bronze bars. Again, it's not that hard to get to the Bronze Dragons if you know the route. I use the Oo'glog pools and can get there in just a couple of minutes. You have to know how which portals to use in the CT and you have to know which route to take in the BD. Also, if he/she doesn't have a ranked summoning level, why bring up that it's an advantage if it isn't going to be an advantage to him/her?

I know it's an opinion, but I think in the cases and situations I've mentioned, the BD is better.

Go ahead and do it where you want, but I think it's a lot quicker in the BD. A LOT quicker. MUCH MUCH quicker.

If it's not speed you care about, then go ahead, do it in the CT.

You know, I've gotten too passionate about such a small thing. I apologize. Do what you want.

but I'm not sure of your levels.

That's why I said that.

Anyway, though, I'll probably try the Brimhaven Dungeon first, because I'm familiar with it. I hate it for fire giants, but that's just because there are a lot better spots with fire giants. If there's not much else for Bronze Dragons, I'll be happy to go there. ::'

On the topic of summoning, that's why I'm slaying. I'm only 10 summon, and stockpiling charms right now.

Good luck with the task. Like it's been said, once you do the task once, you won't think it's that bad.

By no means would I want 100 of them, but 30-50 isn't too bad.

There are 2 rooms with Bronze Dragons in. The other is near the top next to the Nechs. It has Fire Elementals in as well as the dragons and is the better room as the elementals are level 35 and the earth warriors 51.
