STiSkill
Hey everyone, So I've recently taken a break from skilling and been trying my hand at GodWars. My stat's aren't all that great for it, but duo-ing we get 4-5 kills per trip at Zamorak. I oringally just used my Bandos Godsword, but my partner has 99 Strength, so I lend it to him and Ive been trying range seeing as I have 90 and I pot up pretty high. With my 90 defense I'm normally the tanker as well. But to the point (lol) what blots should I be using. I've been using Diamond (E), but I'm thinking there's got to be something better. When I hit the Special, I do massive damage, but its pretty rare I seem to hit it. Any advice? Thank you all! : iCraftin's Blog Of Doom!
JoeDaStudd
Ruby or dragonstone are the only other 2 worth using there, but dragonstone cost a fair bit. ultimatballr
Stick with the Diamond, the specs are pretty consistent (at least 3-5 specs at 20+ hit per boss kill averaged, rough guess) If you decide to use ruby then just use them for the first half of the kill and then switch to diamond for the second half. (meaning when K'ril is down to half health switch to diamond) The ruby spec will hit in the range of 45+ (sometimes even 50+) which takes out a nice chunk of time from the kill however the specs are far more inconsistent, you will go some boss kills without hitting a single ruby bolt spec and some with hitting 2 or 3. Dragonstone are way to overpriced when diamond's are an alternative for you. (Then again I have no experience with them so I do not know the consistency of the special) Apparently, my signature was to big.

Sjakie_1_1_3
Using both types of bolts (diamond and ruby) is generally accepted as the best way to go. If there was an even better way to go at godwars it would really have been found out by now. So just keep using both types of bolts : Skill N' Chill - The Hawt Fun Sexy and Cool Skilling Clan!Skill n' chill website: http://skillandchill.freeforums.org/index.php - Clanchat: Skill N C - IRC Chat: #skillnchill

Lets_3ekout
Ya, the special only works if the monster has more then 50% health The special still works, it just doesn't do anywhere near as much damage (20% of 50% is 10% so you'd take 10% of the monster's max hp away instead of 20%). That's why people switch to diamond at below 50%, so their specials are actually helpfull instead of wasting a combat round and your hp. Although I don't know what would happen if a ruby bolt spec hit at 4 hp or less :?
