Pathetic.

Street fighter requires a heck of alot more skill and combos to play.

SSB has been the same since day one with the same idea of just pick up something and whack someone with it.

You just cant compare them.

Street fighter more serious and SSB more casual. Just don't.

i've played it before and I dont hate it. I guess im not good enough to be so avid about it.

I never dissed the game - I said how brawl isnt as bad as you SF'ers say it is.

Plus, you're angry cause brawl isnt on ps3 or xbox360 >_>

I dont need a siggy no moar.

Brawl also has Captain Falcon.

Silly capcom cant afford the rights to the man of memes, or the 2 highest selling game franchise main characters. :P

IMO. SSB has been the exact same since the first. So why would I be angry that its not on my console of choice .. ?

To be fair, Smash stages are way too big for button mashing. You get punished really really really hard for button mashing.

Brawl is crap. Melee > turd > Brawl

The worst button mashing series to date is Soul Caliber (I *did* love Soul Caliber 2 though - but even then Necro was just :wall: )

I guess I should stop trolling/using sarcasm.

I meant that they both try to deliver the same aspects and features that any fighting game wants to, it's just that these two particular games are at the top of the fighting game genre. SF has at least 2x or 3x more 'moves', which allow for more strategy, timing and progressive thinking, yet in SSBB you get these basic, plain moves that have a short length to do combos in (usually hitting an opponent twice or even three times is like awesome) but a lot of damage to deal to initially win.

It's because of this that they are the same concept, but deliver it differently, like what Limp said, casual & competitiveness.

Yet SSBB can be taken to a level near where SF is, but the background and history of SSBB doesn't equal that of SF's, thus why SF is still far ahead in the learning curve of the combos and counters. If SSBB had been released around the same time as SF, both would be considered equal.

Just my opinion, and I've played the majority of SF games and all of the SSB games.

Oh im sorry mr graphics are everything.

Go buy the latest blu ray game out for PS3 even though it has 2 star rating, only cause of its good graphics.

@Skate

same genre but so far apart.

One is basically a bedroom sized place to fight.

They help.

I mean I use 360 in 1080i .. but I'm stating that one has good graphics. That's all.

at the peak of the game, ssb and sf are incredibly similar and take ridiculous amounts of practice and skill to be competetively good at.

just a cursory read through a few topics in both boards should prove how similar the two games are.
