February 25, 200917 yr I have been having this problem ever since I returned to school, I suspect it has something to do with the awful internet here but perhaps there is a solution. I can not log into Runescape. On the rare occasion that I get into the game I repeatedly disconnect from the server or freeze up with lag after about 5 minutes rendering me unable to play. I have tried everything I can think of and my patience is wearing thin. I am to the point now where I may have to completely quit for awhile if I do not solve this problem. Any help or advice is greatly appreciated... February 25, 200917 yr Try deleting the Rs cache? Maybe that would do the trick, maybe the new information didn't properly sync with the old one, there has been 2 updates today as far as I know.

I'm guessing yes, but I thought I'd best check. Download and run the TCP IP Optimiser from here. Download and run CCleaner (untick the unused file extensions option on the registry side). Ensure you IP address is set to auto (Start -> Control Panel -> Network connections -> [the one your using to connect] Properties -> Internet Protocol [Properties] and make sure its on auto). Even though the url doesn't change with the world, I believe that you can still ping individual worlds. I forget the exact format, but when you load the client page, it will say in you browser "connecting to.." and it gives a specific world. Look at that, and replace that world with your homeworld and try to ping it. Otherwise, do you have any antivirus programs, and which ones? Some are terrrible bandwidth hogs. Whenever I have connection problems, I just disconnect and reconnect to the network... you could always try that. Thanks to Uno for the awsome sig <3

This may have something to do with it perhaps? What you have to do is find the world address and ping that, but if he can connect, he will not timeout, so it appears to be irrelevant too. As of now, I don't have any ideas of what could be causing this, but it could be the program mentionned earlier.
