So, I tried to mage the Giant Scarab from Contact!, and got obliterated. :x

I have no real mage armour, and haven't done DT yet. At my stats, could I melee him? Also, what kind of setup should I use, depending on whether I mage or melee?

~Thanks in advance.

My first attempt I tryed melee and I got raped.

Second time I used Earth Wave and I killed him in a short time and didn't eat any food.

So yeah, use Earth Wave

Edit: Earth is the only thing that is strong against him I think.

Okay, I'll give you my setup:

Earth Wave (Earth Staff)

Runecrafter's Robes

Ring of Life

Inventory:

Lumby tab

Bloods

Airs

1 Waterskin

1 Empty space (coins to use carpet)

23 tuna potatoes.

I ripped through the potatoes almost as fast as I could eat -.-

And pure, how would I eat without delaying combat? Just eat right after I cast?

I think its JUST RIGHT AFTER you start your animation.

For melee its generally before the hit appears, but you dont stop in mid-animation to eat..

There is a safe-spot that let me kill the thing without taking a single point of damage from his "helpers" and by using prayer. I don't think it's pointed out on Tip.It, but do a quick search on the web for Contact!, safe spot, RuneScape and you should find it.

Uh. Eating almost any type of food besides the first slice of a pizza makes you lose a turn.
