March 25, 200917 yr Hi all! I'm thinking on going to get charms at the Rock Lobsters next week and at this moment I'm getting everything ready. But I don't know if the Ring of wealth does any change on the drops of Charms. I'm not concern on the rest of the drops, Rock lobsters don't really have any good drops besides Crimson charms. But does the Ring of wealth change the charms drops? Should I go with Seers ou Wealth ring?
March 25, 200917 yr The available evidence seems to indicate that the RoW does not have any significant effect on charm drop rates. A Seers Ring or a RoL are the only viable options when Bursting Rock Lobsters. Interested in helping the Tip.It Crew? Check out our Website Updates & Corrections Board!
March 25, 200917 yr From what I'm lead to believe the charms are a separate wheel altogether and are completely independent from the normal drops. For are a few other rings which boost magic which you can use the beacon ring, the lunar ring and explorers ring. March 25, 200917 yr Author Ty Rien_Adelric, I was thinking using Blood Burst/Barrage in the hope of no need for prayer potions, since I have 99 defence and a spell that restores alittle (maybe not enoth) the hitpoints. Altough I have to check it out first. Ty JoeDaStudd, I know they come from a diferent drop then the regular drops, but they also come from a diferent drop of the clue scrolls because i once had 1 drop of (coins + charm + clue scroll). I already made the experience of using the ROW for clue scroll on Green dragons and my conclusion was the exact same rare of clue scrolls with and without ROW. The only diference was incresse on the amount of coins and number of times i got Rune daggers and Adamant f helms. I do belive your rite about the "well" of charms been not affected from ROW, but I'm not sure that's why I posted this. Use a ring of life - it's been proven several times that a further magic att bonus is negligible beyond about +70 magic att. Ty, but that seem very unlikely to be. Can anyone confirm this?

March 25, 200917 yr I'm interested in seeing what support you can provide for that statement, Toast. Because, honestly, I'm not buying any of it. From personal experience and that of several of my friends, I can say that I've never seen any reason to believe that the RoW increases charm drop rates. Additionally, I could quote from several reputable guides in support of this. Here's one from Natmonster's Rock Lobster Guide (FAQ Section) on RSC: [hide=]Q:Ring of life is stupid, using a ring of wealth gives you up to 30% more crimsons! » A: Its not that Ring of wealth is useless but I could tell you that it doesn't gives you more charms and I experimented with that. You are probably just lucky getting more crimson charms. According to Jagex, ring of wealth affects only RARE items and it won't affect lootshare/coinshare. Charms are not considered a RARE item since you don't get one in like 50 kills and above, thus I conclude that it won't affect your charm drop rate. Don't be foolish risking your life by using another ring which doesn't help you much. However I won't stop you using this ring, high leveled/rich players who are not afraid of death can go ahead with their item builds if they wish. Below is an extract from runescape forums on this charm issue. Ring of wealth does no affect charms. If you read one of the post bags you would know that drops are similarly calculated the way you would read a pie chart. The pie chart represents a wheel with all drops of a monster. Common drops fill up a more percentage of the wheel and rarer drops fill up less on the wheel. Imagine an arrow spinning on the wheel. Whatever the arrow lands on, is your drop. To make it easier to interpret, the ring of wealth makes the rarer drops fill up more of the wheel, so you would get more rarer drops than common. Now this doesn't mean you will get a good drop every kill, it will just increase your chance. I cannot 100% confirm how the game engine decides drops, but it was mentioned somewhere in a postbag. The charms are placed on a different wheel. Each charm drop rate is different for every monster. For example: Waterfiends Imagine crimson charms filling up 85% of the wheel, which would mean you would more likely get crimson charms than golds, greens, or blues.[/hide] Interested in helping the Tip.It Crew? I don't care what you do, I use a row, and get more charms.I suppose it comes down to personal preference then. I don't know enough about you to know the truth of the matter, although your increase in charms may well have been a result of either luck or increased stats/efficiency (as you used the RoW in your later levels). However, I wouldn't presume to know in your case; I only have my own experiences and what I've read in a number of guides to base my opinion on. To the OP: equip the RoW if you feel confident in your abilities. I agree that the Seers Ring's magic bonus could be considered negligible, but I generally prefer the RoL anyway as I have a tendency to not pay attention at times. March 25, 200917 yr Author I guess nobody really tested it. In the way of be sure. I can only read about "suposed" speculations. I old times I had the same problem with ROW and warrior ring on Coins and Rare drops. Nobody could really give me a answer, so I had to check it my self: -> Killed 100 Lesser demons with and 100 without and again 100 with and 100 without. I'll have to wait for Gremmy confirmation.

March 26, 200917 yr I did 1-92 slayer with ROW and 92-99 with zerker and from what I found I noticed 0 increase in charms, Higher D boot drops with Zerker and only a notable increase in drops in whips with wealth. Id just use a RoL Dragon Drops: 80+ boots, 7 med, 3 skirt, 2 left half, 2 Spear, 2 2hSlayer: 30+ whips, 4 Bows, 1 Mask, 3 Granite Legs, 1 Visage (Wyverns)Notable GWD Splits: Bandos Tassets: 12, Bandos Chest: 11, Bandos Hilt: 2Proud Slayer of 99 Att/Str/Def/HP/Range/Summoning
March 26, 200917 yr Author Take RING OF LIFE! My friend took seers, lagged and died...he lost 7m overall. I'll take that into consideration, altough I'm not going to take very expensive armor (2M tops), I will take lot's of magic runes. I did 1-92 slayer with ROW and 92-99 with zerker and from what I found I noticed 0 increase in charms, Higher D boot drops with Zerker and only a notable increase in drops in whips with wealth. Id just use a RoL I don't know where you calculate that of D boots. Because me on Spiritual Mages (saradomin) doing ranged I got 1 in 75 drops with RoW and 1 in 100 drops without it. Dunne this testing 5 times along the way from lvl 85 to 97 ranged.
March 27, 200917 yr RoL is easily the best option here; due to my laggy computer, it saved me I think 4 or 5 times during my bursting spree. From what I've heard about RoW, however, it doesn't have THAT much of an increase in charms, if any. And a seers isn't worth it down there, the lobsters are weak enough to magic as is.
