Conversely, then...if you get a 99, what are some ideas for hosting a party? Back to the POH? Mini-Game? Looking for ideas from those that have either Attended and/or Hosted 99 Parties for ideas on what works, and what should be avoided at all costs! Thanks!!! There's no real 'protocol', people seemingly rarely give gifts, you can if you want, but it's by no means necessary. As for hosting, I have no idea. If your friend is having a drop party, you could put a few things in the chest, but that's about it. As for the party, most people (including myself) go somewhere nice, level the skill by either training it or using a lamp, getting the cape, then go to a minigame like stealing creation, clan wars, castle wars, fight pits, soul wars, or any team based game. Like rsautohater alluded to, many people host drop parties at their level 99 party. So it's really them giving to the guests. But like another user said, there aren't any guidelines or qualifications for hosting a party.
