I Cant Get Dark Beasts as a Slayer Task!!!

Hey guys...

 

 

 

about a week ago i obtained 90 slayer and i finished MEP1 and just started MEP2 up to the point where you get the new key to which u gain access to the beasts...

 

 

 

i still have not received them as a task... call it bad luck or do i need to actually finished MEP2 to get them?

For me I just ran to the part past the Darkbeast to the cut scene, and I have gotten Darkbeasts task.

It's not you want them anyway. Praying at them is a must, and a Godsword is pretty much required. Whip isn't that good there, unless you use defender, but you can't use Unholy book then. Oh, and regular drops sucks. Guam is a common drop. wtf.

Lies. Whip works great, and you get a lot of rune drops, along with the occasional dark bow. Even when using pray pots, I always make a very decent profit from a dark beast task.

Yes they drop a lot of Rune items and they DO pay for the Prayer potions, but they take quite a long time, and give really really low level drops most of the time. (ATTACK POTION? SERIOUSLY WTF?) Oh, and Dark bow's kinda rare. >.> Only got 1 from them in like 10 tasks.

It's not that good if you can use a Godsword (Saradomin specifically, but any will do.) Unless you use defender, but you get no prayer bonus. :(

What I don't get is, why would people want Dark Beast tasks compared to Abyssal Demon tasks?

Don't worry - i'm level 76 slayer and i've never had a dust devil task.

Whip dominates SGS at dark beasts. Use rune defender with It.

 

 

 

You dont have to pray them if you dont want to but it is a hassle if you dont. You use full Bandos, whip, defender. You must have a unicorn, and an sgs as well.

 

 

 

You tank them, use unicorn to heal until its out of energy. then you melee pray until youve used 15 or so pray points, sgs spec to heal pray/hp. if eventually your out of pray points and both spec bars you take a dose of super restore (saves room and useful for summon) all in all you must pay attention but it saves you alot in ppots

 

 

 

they are a good task for exp, reasonable for charms, mediocre on drops but you should break even. They are a pretty good task for low attention, high exp.

Whips own at Dark Beast's. Warrior ring makes it even more effective.

 

 

 

You have to pray, even SGS with unicorn users have to pray, so the prayer pots are an expense.

 

 

 

Loot wise, you lose out. They do drop rune items, but not at a high rate. No different than getting a chain from a Black Demon. The Dark Bow you get every couple of tasks makes up for it though.

 

 

 

XP wise they give awesome slayer and melee XP.

They do drop a fair bit of dragon items. I've had 2 spears and a med there which compared to my only other dragon drop (spear at at Black Demons) is good.

 

 

 

Shame dragon items are only alch fodder.

I think these are a great task

 

I tend to do it the easy way and use prayer pots with whip and proselyte armour

 

have had a couple of dark bows but one of the added bonuses is the amount of blue charms you get
