All Holiday Items Tradeable!!!!!!

im sure they can make those items tradeable and at the every price they please.

 

 

 

 

 

i agree the advantages i have over those new players isnt perminant. but neither are the rares i have now. eventually they would be able to afford it.

 

 

 

i see nothing wrong with tradeable rares in fact it make the game better.

 

 

 

how many people would like not to be able to sell or buy a phat/ mask/ santa/.

 

and how many wouldnt want to buy / scythes/yo-yo/rabbit ears.

No, they can't. We, the players, set the prices on items based on difficulty to obtain and usefulness. The only way they could change that is by implementing a change like a store that sells them for 3 gp each.

Only after hundreds of hours of work, not 3 seconds spent picking up an item off the ground.

Unfortunately for you, Jagex and the majority of players, including me, think otherwise. They make the game, they call the shots.

2.you keep looking at the time it takes to lvl up a skill, look at the time thats passed since i got the item its a few thousand hrs.

 

3. players the maxed out everything, well some of them, look to holidays as their next goal, if you thinking. 200M xp is nice for a next goal........rite..... as if i want to spend countless hour doing that, players do that when their bored. and whats the point of it? not special happens

The same thing we do now - Junk trade, RWT, BH, or any of the half dozen other transferring methods I could mention here were it not against tif rules.

And your point would be? You had that wealth, and it required a grand total of 5 seconds of work in RS.

Perhaps you could point out some of those maxed players. I'm friends with quite a few of them, and not one of them has ever told me 'man, skills are so boring and not worth training, I just can't wait for that next holiday event!'

99s are a goal, XP items are a goal. Getting a holiday event is not, and until I see a few screenshots from 'high level players', I'm sticking with results from the ones I know :roll:

Look at it this way marcus. I've played on and off since 05'. Im f2p now, and my current stockpile is 3M, since I've always been more of a quester than a skiller.

 

 

 

I have EVERY holiday item for two years, from the full chicken suit to the santa suit, and I missed the Thanksgiving event (assuming there was one, all I've heard of it is the emote slot). I would more than quadruple my entire stockpile the moment this update happens (and if I wait awhile they would be worth even more, since an update like this would have everyone rushing to the G.E.) without actually doing any work.

 

 

 

Do you see that as fair?

 

 

 

Hell, they don't even drop holiday items anymore, you do an event. So it's not even up to chance anymore, it just goes to anyone who's bored and has 10 minutes to kill on the day (or two weeks now) of an event.

I wish I had a running counter of arguments won\lost. I only keep track of the lost. The won HAS to be in the thousands :twisted:

 

 

 

That being said, I lost twice on a relatively major issue and once on a minor one. I don't even remember the exact debates, but I could probably find them. It's a thorn in the side of an otherwise perfect argument :|

It's a pride thing. I see myself as a skillful, accurate, and objective debater, and keeping track is a way for me to verify it.

Sometimes you get pretty sarcastic... so I wouldn't call you "objective". But that's just me.

 

 

 

Anyhow, what are your conditions for "Winning an argument" - is it getting the other person to see your point, or is it getting the other person to not only see your point, but agree with it and leave theirs behind?

 

Same with losing - is it you have to abandon your ideas, and agree with the other person, and support their views?

I would NOT want to see this happen. While santa hats, party hats or h'ween masks ARE tradeable, they no longer symbolize the holidays - just wealth.

 

However, my skeleton suit, chicken suit, and cornucopia all symbolize the holidays, and not just any holidays, the ones bygone. They help prove the age of my account, and let people know I've been around for a while.

 

 

 

If you made these items tradeable, they would become like the rares - just a measure of wealth.

Sarcasm and believing in ones own opinion don't affect objectivity. I'm good at distancing myself from the argument and looking at it from all angles to try and see what the other person is driving at, then use that to trap them into making a false statement.

Winning is when I make counter argument that goes unchallenged and the other debater either posts saying they give up or refuses to return to the argument. Confessed winning is when the other debater publicly posts that they recant their previous statements and now believe mine after having theirs proven incorrect. I get about half and half of each, the more mature the other debater and the more concrete\numbers-based the debate the higher the likelihood of the second.

So basically, you missed out on the Holiday items and think you should be given them, when you weren't even around when they came out, just because you want them? The whole point of rares is that they show that you've been playing a long time, letting anyone have them would ruin that.
