Woodcut an fm or wc an bank

Featured Replies

I was wondering which i should do (considering im f2p and have 65 wc, 57 fm and i want a wc lvl of around 70-75 which will enable me to cut yews easier, EDIT: atm i wc an fm by craft guild):

Either woodcut willows at draynor and then bank them, advantages: you make a profit (some1 told me willows sell foraround 50-70), it is quite quick to bank. disadvantage: quite busy, so willow trees get chopped down quickly

Or woodcut willows by the Crafting Guild, then fm them, advantages: you get fm exp which is good for total lvl and stuff, it is empty so easy logs.

disadvantages:quite boring and tedious after a while, not much company.

I really dunno which, plz could u help me decide, your thoughts plz

I would personally say which do you want more? The money or the fm exp. The company or easier training?

Personally, I prefer to train alone, and I prefer exp over money so I would go with cutting and then burning. Also, if the main reason you are going to Draynor for is the company you can still wc and burn your willows there and still have people to talk to. In the end it's personal choice. I prefer quiet spots so I would go to the crafting guild, but you may prefer the company of others so just go to draynor. Also, to me willows never seem to sell that well and take forever to sell, especially if you have large amounts.

Sorry I wasn't much help.

does any1 have an idea on which method is quickest?

The faster option would be to cut them at Draynor, bank them - and then firemake with them at the grand exchange.

And the price of willow logs is 18gp, and they're very hard to sell. - So firemaking would be the best option

Thank you to tripsis for an awesome sig!

Burning as you chop is easily faster than banking your logs and burning them later. It gets more complicated if you're planning on burning some other type of log for firemaking, like maples or yews, but if you were banking the willows to burn later, you'd definitely be better off burning them on the spot.

I'd wc and fm. A lot less competition, a lot better overall exp and a bit more relaxing.

Woodcut and FM. If you ever decide to get members, it would be good to have a higher FM level for quests, shortcuts, and the Beacon Network. I'm currently working on 75 FM so that i can burn magic logs.

Definitely wc and fm with the willows for now. I did that until 70wc and then switched to yews. Then bank/sell the yews and buy willows for fm if you want to keep working on both.

Good luck. :D

THE place for all free players to connect, hang out and talk about how awesome it is to be F2P.

So, Kaida is the real version of every fictional science-badass? That explains a lot, actually...

I'd say to do what someone else said. Cut them at Draynor and burn them later. They're too much of a bother to try and sell, and you don't make very much off of them anyways if you DO manage to sell them. And exp is for the win, so fm them later! It's the quickest way, and that way you can have company too!
