Maybe try cropping the canvas? My relaxation method involves a bottle of lotion, beautiful women, and partial nudity. Yes I get massages.

Brighten his face a little bit, it's really dark at the moment which makes it hard to see any detail. I'd chop off a pretty big part of the blackness on one of the sides too, that way the focal won't be in the dead centre of the canvas any more.
