August 16, 200520 yr Anyone heard this Album? it really is good :D I was getting bored of just hearing 'You're Beautiful' all the damn time :D so thought I'd see if his got any other decent tracks.. and he has, its a really good Album.
August 16, 200520 yr It's good. Nowhere near as special as some people make him out to be. His voice is great, his lyrics are decent and has a shocking head of hair. He's like an indie alternative to your pin up boy pop star. I also hate the people who say: "Oh wow, he's singing about his time in the army!". Big deal? Like he's the only one who went? Like he's the only one who thought about singing about war? He's got a great voice but he shouldn't cash in on this war malarki, he's no Edwin Starr. I'd like to see his next album, seeing if he's stuck with the war thing or if he's trying real life. Hopefully it's the latter, that will make him or break him (hopefully make him). He's good and got potential. But he hasn't done anything yet to write home about. This is how much you all raised for charity. Thank you.
August 16, 200520 yr Lil bit off topic but at the funeral of the girl that was killed by accident by her boyfriend in a jetskiing accident, they played the song "you're beautiful". If you listen to the lyrics they are actually very appropriate. Anyway haven't got the album, and "you're beautiful" is overplayed but his great voice makes it acceptable. "Da mihi castitatem et continentam, sed noli modo"
August 16, 200520 yr Alot of my friends have it, but they buy what the media tells them to... I thought 'Your Beautiful' was quite good, but not enough to warrant me buying his album, maybe if he does a few other songs that impress i'll get it. I really hate people who cash in on one hit wonders :P .
August 17, 200520 yr I'd never really heard of the bloke until i saw him at Glastonbury Festival, and i was really impressed. He's got a great voice, and the thing i respect most about musicians is being able to sound good not just on their albums, but live - where it counts. Kirk and Lars I could handle. At the same time.
August 17, 200520 yr Well, you sent me the song (You're Beautiful) yesterday, I don't know. He can sing, though I think his voice might get irritating after and hour...The lyrics arn't really my thing either (but that might just be this song), but it sounds okay, something to listen to when you're behind the computer, you can just listen to it, nothing more and nothing less. Signature by Maurice SendakWhen the stars make you drool just like a pasta fazool, that's amore!

Yaaa :( i read about that in the newspaper
August 17, 200520 yr As much as you're all probably about to flame me, I havn't hated an artist as much as i hate james blunt in months. All my female friends love him, but i really hate his voice and his songs just dont appeal to me at all. You're probably all gonna slaughter me, but I guess it's just personal preference. And when you call a song "You're beautiful" you just know it's gonna be mindless love dribble - dont get me wrong, some love songs are wickid...just not with lyrics like that.
August 17, 200520 yr I understand completely. I have to be in a certain mood to listen to him, otherwise his strangling voice gets to me. This is how much you all raised for charity. Thank you.

Actually, I'm inclined to agree. Frankly, having you're balls severed from your body as a child as good singer does not make. He sings too high to sing along to (something that should be a vital component of any song), has an incredibly whiny voice, and just annoys me, simply because it leaves an unsingable song stuck in my head. Plus, every 8-year old girl from here to timbuktu is in love with him, which is more than enough reason to hate him. Lyrically, he's ok. There are a couple of lines that are spot on, but a lot that just makes me think 'eh?' Goals to get my skills back up to a barely respectable level on the high scores: Currently going for Bone to Peaches spell. It's amazing how boring doing the same repetitive task is! Stupid MTA

Hmm I still think I'll have to agree with you though :P
August 17, 200520 yr Hey forceape long time, James Blunt is good, and Back To Bedlam is a good album. My favourite song would either be Goodbye My Lover or Tears and Rain. I like his music but what I like most is the fact that his music is actually his own, not some manufactured computer edited digitally enhanced rubbish that there seems to be surplus of these days. Blunt was a tank driver in the army, he was an officer and it's said that the majority of his songs were written/inspired during/by conflict. He was amazing at Glastonbury, he headlined the morning playing at noon (around when everyone woke up) and it was perfect listening to him with a cracking hangover.
August 18, 200520 yr he headlined the morning Mmmm oxymoron :D Mercifull <3 Suzi "We don't want players to be able to buy their way to success in RuneScape.
