I currently use rune cbow with broad bolts but I found out these don't work against some of my slayer tasks like gargoyles. So which would be the best alternative to use against other slayer monsters, putting power, speed, and cost into consideration?

 

 

 

Right now I'm thinking..

 

 

 

Iron knives or steel knives

 

Mage short with addy or mith arrows

 

Some other kind of bolts

I used to use crystal bow a lot but after I quit members, for some reason it doesn't remember how many times I've charged it and I have to start all over. So if there is any alternative I am trying to stay away from it.

Wait does he mean not affective or not work cause if rune crossbow and broad arn't affective nothing is.

No, they don't work at all. I'm guessing its because broad bolts are meant for kurasks and turoths which is why it doesn't work against other slayer monsters.

If that were true then that would mean broabs wouldn't work on anything else, and we all know thats not true. Its just that gargs, like waterfeinds, are strong to most type attacks and only weak to certain ones. When using melee its best to use crush type weapons. Since you're ranging mabye try getting some of those Brutal arrows.

I know people who use Broads on abby demons while on slayer tasks. Its just gargs have difference defense stats then most monsters.

Well i just killed some Gargs in Full Void with both rune cbow + Broads and Iron knives. I didn't have problems with either so you may have low range or bad range outfit.

Yea and why would mith or addy bolts effect them differently when broad is just addy by a different name?

Yeah, I guess I was just getting really unlucky.

 

 

 

And my range is actually 90 so I don't think low range was the problem.

OHH that was it. I got owned cause I forgot nosepeg, tried ranging but failed, so banked sup restored to normal then bought iron knives.

 

 

 

Haha, it all makes sense now. Well, I just got a 160 gargoyle task so i'm going to range them with rune cbow and broad bolts, and won't forget my nosepeg this time. Thank you so much.

Oh i get it, ya those spectres can be tricky. I did my little test in the CT tho so no problem with Spectres.
