I'm not complaining about drop rate, i just want to make sure i'm doing the right thing.

 

 

 

I used up about 100 tokens to get an bronze defender, then about 800 to get an iron one.

 

 

 

So this leaves me to the point i'm at now, i went out the room, dropped my bronze defender and went back in...

 

 

 

Over 2500 tokens used up and still no steel defender, am i doing something wrong?

 

 

 

I've seen threads before when people say it took them alot of tokens to get rune, but i'm a but fed up now.

 

 

 

...another question. Once i get rune, how do i get other ones to get a few placeholders?

You need to show your iron defender to the guy near the door.

Well did you make sure to show her that you got the iron defender? If you did then just keep killing the cyclopes. Or whater cyclops is plural.

 

 

 

To get more rune defenders just show her the rune defender and go back in and kill some more. Sooner or later they will drop another rune defender.

Probaly what'll happen is you take ages to get your steel one and then in 100 tokens gets all the rest.

I had the same thing happen to me. It's ridiculous, I spent like 5 hours in there going for my Black or Steel, can't remember. I gave up lol.

This is misleading. When *she* says "A cyclopes has your defender, it means that one of the cyclopes in the room at that point will drop the defender. If that cyclopes is killed by someone other than you, the defender is "given" to a different cyclopes.

I had a problem something like this: I spent over 2,000 tokens to get a bronze, then got iron and steel 50 tokens later. As to your second question, just show your rune one to the woman at the door & they'll drop another one, or more if you wish.

Show her your rune one and she'll say something like "It doesn't go any higher than rune so I'll just give them more of those"

Here's a tip..

 

 

 

I remember reading somewhere than the defener drop isn't random, but rather one of the cyclopes actually has it. If he gets killed then one of the other cyclopes will recieve it. If you're on an empty world and just killing them in one small area your chances are gonna be pretty low. Try running around and killing them at all the spawn sites.
