Ultimate Gaming Card?

Featured Replies

Well I was on the phone with a friend, and we were talking about going to Target for an RS pre-paid card, when he found out we could get these kind of cards that work for alot of online games. Anyone know things about this "Ultimate Gaming Card"?

I think they call them "credit cards".

But no, although I would like to know what you're talking about. Sounds interesting.

DEFINITELY not a credit card. I used these to pay for my RS membership a while back (when I played). They work precisely how you'd expect them to; put in the code on the back of one of these into the site, spend the money on whatever it is you want to pay for (if it's on the freaking huge list of games that accept it as payment). You can pay for 2 full months of RS membership with one card, and ~6 months with 2. Sadly, you can't transfer excess money you use to pay for one game to pay for a different one. Still would recommend them over just about anything else for general gaming use, though.

It's like a gift card, only you can use it pretty much anywhere. I bought one for my Mom this Christmas - buy it at a CVS or such, and you can use it like a credit card wherever (Visa in this case) cards are accepted. I think it's cheaper too. $30 for a $25 card, over $7.50? for a month card, about... might be roughly the same.

Pretty nifty, and probably smarter than picking up a card with RuneScape stickers on the front =P

I feel like such a nerd, I thought you were on about graphics cards when I read the title.

It depends where you live, I haven't seen them here in the UK. I think the company that makes these prepaid cards might let you pay for other games with them, but I'm not 100% sure. Best bet is just to look for the RuneScape card, at least that way you'll know it will work.

and here i was gonna post "best video card is the most expensive one you can afford" lols

I've bought a couple of these.

They are not prepaid debit cards. They are specifically for gaming, about $10 each, and have various game logos/imagery on the front, although each card will work for any game that accepts PayByCash payments.
