Futurama
pretty nicely done, although only two colours which kinda makes it hard to see. like the turntable especially (though thats probably cos i own a pair :P) The lines are neat and stuff, which is good. great for a first try, infact. keep at it :)

Ryan
I think those are all just brushes you downloaded? Making a vector involves using the PEN tool to draw the stuff yourself.

Aldeon
sorry ryan but thats wrong. If you paid attention in geometry class you would know (not trying to be a know-it-all). Anything in photoshop is really not a vector. From Geometry you learn that a vector is just a line that is calculated mathematicly (0,0),(5,3). the vector is (5,3) which means up 5 over 3 (remember rise/over run, its sorta like slope) so it would be a line between points (0,0) and (3,5) [(x,y)]. I'm not sure if vector programs calculate the same way but its the same concept you have the two enpoints and the line between them is calculated and drawn. So when you zoom in, the lines are redrawn(but bigger). Thats why they never lose quality. For curves there is 3 points. The two enpoints and the extreme which is the point that extends out the most. So the program draws an arch between the 3 points. Some vector programs are flash, and abobe illustrator. There is no technical way to have actualy vector art on the web yet as it is all rasterized when saved as a jpg, png, gif or whatever. but yeah thats what a vector is. Now for the rating good first try i actually like it however perspective seems slightly off on the turntable. Good job though, A++. If you want a number rating 9/10! Nadril
Vector's realy can't be shown on the web yet, so that doesn't realy "matter". Although, they are made in programs such as imageready, ect. That you have there isn't a vector. It's a "tech-trendhore brush pile" as i'd like to call it.

Greatsilverwyrm
Definitely doesn't look like a vector. If you had made it using vector tools in Photoshop, you wouldbe able to make it 10x that size and have no quality loss. Show me that or I'm not going to beleive it's actuall a vector. You could call it vector-style, though.. in which case it's not bad, but rather busy for my taste.

YOu didn't have to explain to me what a vector was. My point was that this didn't count for "vector art" because he didn't draw anything himself. That's like saying "my first 3d sig" and then downloading a model and just putting it in a sig. Sure it's "3d", but he didn't make the 3d part of it. My comment on "making a vector," means actually making it yourself in that program. I didn't say brushes which he used won't provide a vector, but if you actually wanted to make it YOURSELF. Mercifull
That turntable image is used all over the place, its not really very original. The monotone colours look really odd and boring, especially such striking contrast of black and red. As others mentioned its just a few brushes and black scanlines. Theres not really much of your actual work to rate you didnt even add a border. Mercifull <3 Suzi "We don't want players to be able to buy their way to success in RuneScape.
