All Fired Up quest note

Recommended Posts

Ok, so i started Defender of Varrock to train on armored zombies... i didnt finish it.

Much later on I started All Fired Up and did everything up to the first beacon... i couldnt light it or put logs on it!

After getting all fired up I looked at what he was saying when i tryed putting logs on the beacon:

I noticed he says theres a threat from the wilderness. Defender of Varrock?

So i completed the rest of Defender of Varrock and now I could light the beacons \'

Put a note on the quest guide? so someone else doesnt need to waste time figuring it out -.-

Cheers

WOW...tremendous suggestion (IMO). I did start the quest, but didn't get all the way to Armoured zombie fighting. It's good to know (because I sometimes train with the beacons). I would say "+1" to adding this...somewhere. Maybe to the Beacons guide, too?

SportsGuy if you didn't finish Defender of Varrock, and you train using the beacons (a terrible payback of xp for the logs as far as I know), then aren't you contradicting what the first poster said?

it's a lot easier to get over yourself when you look at intelligence the same way you look at beauty, or height, or eye color: being smart is easy, but being good is hard ... being smart is handed to you, being good is handed to *nobody*.

I think you need to get to a certain point of the quest. I was up to the part where u needed to talk to Thurgo.

After completing the quest, I found could light the beacons... completed it in like 5 mins lol

I started the quest, but not up to that point. I haven't finished looking for the key. I would guess (totally a guess, by the way) that once you can fight the zombies, you can't light the beacons. I've only begun steps 2 and 3, then stopped. Usually I go farther in quests I'm saving, but I got lucky on this one, I suppose.

Sorry, with only the two of you posting, and your results conflicting, I'm just not sure what the answer is here. Just not enough data to draw definitive conclusions.

If someone else can post, that would help.

I'm not too sure, I've completed both quests and I never really had any problem completing the 'All Fired Up' quest so I'm not sure what to suggest. But yes if that is the problem then maybe adding the 'Defender Of Varrock' to the 'All Fired Up' quest guide, so no one else has any problems with the 'All Fired Up' quest.

I think I remember I was upto the part where I needed to talk to Thurgo on Defender of Varrock:

8. Captain Rovin will ask you to find the secrets to the Shield of Arrav, and your character will suggest talking to Thurgo. He can be found south of Port Sarim, north of Mudskipper Point. Make sure you have a pickaxe with you.

Would be good if someone hasnt done the quests to confirm it.

To confirm it you need to:

1. Get to stage 8 on Defender of Varrock

2. Start All fired up to the point you need put logs on the beacon

3. Tell us what happens :)

A few people in my clan threw up the same issue.

Once you have entered the base in defender of varrock (and thus discovered the threat) it locks you out of testing the beacons for All Fired Up until you finish the quest.

Just want to add my 2 cents, I had this same message half a year ago when I did it on my old account. There were already zombies in varrock.

Strangely enough, this warning is placed in the Beacon Network guide, but not in the Defender of Varrock quest guide. Added and credited, thank you. :)
