Bandos Armor - Special Applications?

Featured Replies

Is there anything that only Bandos armor will do for?

I know that you need the boots to get max melee Defense but that's about it...

I bought it (Chestplate/Tassets/Boots) a few days ago because I'd never used it before, but I mostly just range now. The only reason I seem to be holding onto it right now is because it's rising in price...

I only use Ranged for Slayer.

Ah, I was hoping more for some kind of special situation...

IMO the boots are only good if you want to use the bandos area in the GWD and can't afford any other bandos armour.

Its best used anywhere where you would use barrows armour.

why not just take a dip in the copper pool at Oog'log? it gives you Bandos immunity.

Its ok if your just doing a boss trip but if your praying or tanking avis then bandos armour allows you to get about 3 or 4 re-spawns which are in the bandos area which one one else can get.

But doesn't this have a limited time? Before it runs out and they become aggressive again.

It does, so it's only usefull for boss-trips

There are three sides to every story: There's one side, there's the other, and there's the truth.

Bandos is the best armour for tanking or soloing bandos. It gives the best ranged defence in game (not counting pvp) and has a small str and prayer bonus.

Thanks, that's more of the "special situation" I was looking for. However, wouldn't you be hit by some fairly powerful Magic attacks by one of the sergeants?

Some people take a karil top for that in stead of the bandos chestplate or barrows platebody. With a high magic lvl, I think you are better off with bandos/barrows though.

Usually the tanker will wear a zamorak blessed dragonhide top.

quit

Wrong. A GOOD (Not even) would wear barrows, the BEST would use Guthan.

Maybe I'll make a comprehensive tanking guide for Bandos/Zamorak+other things.

Drops:

Misc: Abyssal Whip x28 , Dark Bow x5, Beserker Ring x3, Warrior ring x1

Dragon: Dragon Platelegs x2 , Dragon Plateskirt x2, Dragon Boots x38, Dragon Med Helm x4, Shield left half x3

Godwars: Godsword shard x13, Bandos Hilt x3, Bandos Chestplate x6, Bandos Tassets x4, Bandos Boots x5, Saradomin Sword x1, Zamorakian Spear x1,. Armadyl Helm x2, Armadyl chestplate x2.

There's already a good guthan tanking guide in general guides section :)

Yeah so full guthans for tanking. Attack bandos once and then minions to heal.

Good to know that I'm not the only one who's realized this.

Also, the tassets (and possibly chestplate based on magic level) are good for soloing Bandos (not sure about if they're the best, but I'm not sure what would be better)

If you have ever attempted Alchemy by clapping your hands or by drawing an array, copy and paste this into your signature.

I meant tanking everything, not just Bandos. ;)
