What to use high alchemy on in order to train?

Featured Replies

I know there are topics like this,but i'll make it specific

I am asking for advices on easy buyable items that I could buy in larger quanties for constant training

I DO know there are items that offer profit if alched,but I doubt they are easy obtainable in higher quanties than 1000-2000

My problem is : I used to alch long time ago,and the only item I could remember people were supposed to alch was Yew Longbow - AND NOTHING ALS

Thing that REALLY CONFUSED me is posts I saw recently on this forum,alot of people asking for advices,and WIDE range of items prefered.I even found a website that tells me price of item/alch profit.But thing Is i highly doubt things could drasticly change in a year.... Im also really wondering are yew longs still popular (nowdays),because I haven't seen someone saying "im alching yew longs" lately

Advices on items that sell in lesser quanties than 1000-2000 a day are welcome aswell (otherwords harder buyable items),because I won't be alching that much,and also,I am willing to spend healthy ammount of gold per item,but only if i dont loose much (example:if theres something more expensive than yew longbow,i would buy it in 1000-2000 quanties a day,but i dont want to loose more gp alching it than yew long) (otherwords I don't care about item's price,as long as alching works,and I don't loose more gp than with yew longbows)

I think yew longs are still popular, along with mage longbows and adamant plates. I personally found a supplier of addy plates, and traded ores and coins for plates, and got a good deal. Maybe that would work for you as well?

If you're wondering why people aren't alching yew longs enough, it's because the market changes constantly and pretty drastically, alot of items have reached the GE floor, for some items it's about 250 or so gp away from the alch price, so you can't just buy natures and fire staff and alch for a profit. Because of the way the GE works, there is alot of items that could be alched.

Things that could be alched -

Adamant Platebody, expensive and hard to buy, very low loss yet extremely hard to buy.

Water/Air Battlestaff, about the same as above, except it's easier to buy, and buy in 100's (both of them) every 4 hours

Many summoning pouches, some being more effective than others, such as Barker Toad, Granite Crab, Spirit Cobra, Artic Bear, and many... many more. Most of these are easy to buy, because it's a byproduct of Summoning.

Mage longs are easy to buy now and is better for alchemy than Yew longs.

Dragon spears were good once... before it shot up with PvP ;_;

There are many, many more
