pulli23
Hi after an absense of several months (I got put off by the idea of no new content..) I decided to my quest up to par again: just finished the chosen commander today and I've been wondering something: is the zanik's crossbow actually a good alternative for the rune crossbow - If I only use broad bolts that is? Also on another note: what happened to mobilizing armies? - It was supposed to come out several months ago but got postponed again... Is it completely scrapped now? First they came to fishingand I didn't speak out because I wasn't fishing Then they came to the yewsand I didn't speak out because I didn't cut yews Then they came for the oresand I didn't speak out because I didn't collect ores Then they came for meand there was no one left to speak out for me. Dexek
I believe broad bolts do not work in the Zanik's Crossbow. If you meant bone bolts, then Zanik's is an ok choice. I would suggest broad bolts & a Rune x-bow though. I'm not sure if Mobilizing Armies will turn out like the wilderness tag mini-game or if it will actually get completed. Your guess is as good as mine. PoetryIndexed Picture 1Indexed Picture 2 Killed my maxed Zerker pure April 2010 Rebooting Runescape

Dexek
If you can use a Rune x-bow then use that. The Zanik's x-bow is only useful compared to the old bone crossbow when using bone bolts. If you can use a Rune x-bow and broad bolts, do just that. Everyonedies
mobilizing armies is still being worked on i guess there was some interface issues that were not doing well with runescape and they are working on it still. http://www.clanhavok.net/
Apv301
Zanik's C'bow fails... utterly. I bought like 20 diamond bolts (e), which it's supposed to be able to you, to put a smart mouthed ancienter in his place. However they wouldn't fire and I ended up nearly dieing. Sinkhan
I personally like it a lot. I already loved the dorg c'bow as my favourite economical training weapon, but this is more accurate and has a spec! It's simply wonderful. Something to fill my sig with until I find a replacement. Also check out my blug
deadngone
Imo, I think zanik's xbow is a choice for the poor. People that can't afford broad bolts/mith/addy/etc. I would still go with rune xbow + broad. Can be more costly then bone bolts..But, whatever...
Crazykid1321
Mod MMG confirmed that Mobilizing Armies is not canceled and is still in development. (not even in testing yet!)

Reading the description/explanation during the quest is I guess to hard for some.... - It explicitely stated that it "couldn't fire special tipped bolts, just plain bolts upto adamantite". So it's not supposed to be able to. (Besides 20 bolts won't really kill someone I think).. But I'm wondering if the +78 (instead of 90) range bonus is worth the + 3-15 extra hit during a special.. Well as far as I've gathered now: it's not really worth it, maybe in castle wars it's usefull (since people tend to use lots of prayers simultanously there, so it's always a +15 hit spec). Good to hear MA is still in development, I guess I'll wait a little bit more till it finaly comes out before playing actively again. Everyonedies
The problem they are having with mobilizing armies is that due to the type of game play it involves.(you the player controlling multiple men) they (last i was told) were not able to get it to feel runescape like. I guess it was too real time strategy like and not very runescapey feeling. Thats the issue they had/have.(the game was finished/playable months ago) http://www.clanhavok.net/
